In Michigan we have moved our date for the primary. The Democrats said they will not support this, and as a result all but Hillary (others have dropped out already) is left on the democratic side of the ballot. Its been challenged in court and there is NO write in option. They will NOT be counted. My only option is uncommitted or Hillary.

I personally think this is cr@p! :rolleyes1 But anyway, has your state changed things for the better or worse.

I'm also in Michigan. Turns out we're going to be in WDW during the primary (we recently scheduled a last minute trip for 2 1/2 days).

But yeah, I was ticked about the whole thing. I heard on the radio that the democratic party of Michigan is suggesting that if you wanted to vote for someone other than Hillary you should vote uncommitted and if enough people do so the delegates will go to to the convention uncommitted to a candidate and decide while there. Of course, I thought as of now the word is that the votes won't count at all. I'm :confused3.

I guess we did luck out not having political ads on tv every 30 seconds though!

RI primary is March 4th. The Governor vetoed the bill that would have moved the date up to 2/5.

Our primary in NJ is now on February 5th. We used to have it in June and it was a complete waste of time because the decisions were already made by then. I'm glad they moved it, at least now our votes might actually mean something.

As far as I know, the only change in IL is that it moved up to Super Tuesday, ours used to take place a week or two after Super Tuesday. I didn't learn that until last week! I don't think it's causing any problems though, I haven't heard anything.

Anyone watch the Simpsons on Friday? Springfield moved up their Primary. It was very funny.

The only change here in Ohio is that Cuyahoga County is going back to paper ballots after wasting Millions on electronic ones. The rest of us are still doing electronic. It's all really weird.

I can't believe the other candidates are ignoring the situation in Michigan--obviously your vote doesn't matter as much as New Hampshire? Weird. Maybe your superdelegate already said they were voting for Hilary, so it doesn't matter what anyone else does?

ETA: This is from the article:
But Democrats John Edwards, Barack Obama, Bill Richardson and Joe Biden took their names off the Michigan ballot to satisfy Iowa and New Hampshire, which were unhappy Michigan was challenging their leadoff status on the primary calendar. That leaves only Hillary Rodham Clinton, Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Christopher Dodd.

So it's the other candidates own fault that they aren't on the ballot. Vote for Kucinich!! Wooo-Hoooo!

PA is not until April 22. By then the candidate is picked. I need to get us moved earlier. Super Tuesday would be a better date.

Florida moved up its primary to January 29. The Democrats protested and they will not count the delegates. The Republicans protested and only half the delegates will count.

What was the grounds for the protest? It's still after Iowa and NH. I don't understand the problem.

So now thats 2 states who either wont count or partial count. I wonder how many there are total? It seems rather un-american that votes wouldnt count!

Yeah, I can't see how that can be a good thing for anyone.
