I am going grocery shopping before I sign up so help me out besides Fat Free Cool Whip ;) and salad, what are some of your staples? Stuff that makes WW a little easier/ more enjoyable.

Thanks so much... I am so unmotivated but I really need to get off what keeps wanting to come back on. :rolleyes1

How about oatmeal, brown rice, barley, whole wheat pasta, whole grain bread, eggs, tuna, salad stuff: peppers, cukes, carrots, broccoli, strawberries, blueberries, apples, mango, popcorn, chicken breasts, ground turkey, turkey breast, frozen veggies, low fat salad dressing, feta cheese, low fat sour cream and hidden valley ranch dip mix (for the fresh veggies) bananas, walnuts.

And I got lots of yogurts and sugar free fat free jello and puddings!

Oatmeal with bananas and walnuts is very good, I got the receipe from the national weight loss challenge, I can give it to you if you would like.

That was my shopping trip this week! I made the turkey breast for dinner and there is plently of leftovers for sandwiches and another meal or two (I'll probably freeze some for next week) and I'll make turkey barley soup out of the carcass. I'm going to make a chunky spicy maranara sauce for the whole wheat pasta. I'll have lots of salads and I'll have raw veggies, fruit and popcorn for snacks.

I did spend a lot of money this week, eating healthy is not cheap!

Ain't that the truth! :goodvibes

I love Kashi Go-Lean cereal for breakfast - gives 10g of soy protein to get my day started off right...lots of fresh fruits & veggies (whatever is in season) and salsa - from dips to eggs or as a salad topping, salsa is great to have around....oh - and lowfat cottage cheese. I always have to have that on hand as well....

I would love the oatmeal recipie :flower3:

Nutty Oatmeal

Ingredients:
1/2 c oatmeal
1 cup skim milk
1 oz walnuts
1 banana
1 TBS rasins

Slice banana. Mix all ingrredients in a medium bowl.
Stir so milk covers ingredients.
Microwave on medium power for 2-3 munutes (Place bowl on larger plate to catch any spillover)

Add splenda if you'd like. Sometimes I omit the bananas and nuts and add splenda and cinnamon. It's easy, yummy, and filling!

I eat a half bowl of Special K Red Berries every morning. Buy some fat free yogurt, lots of fruits and veggies, bottled water (if you have to) and most of important:

LOW FAT ICE CREAM!!!1:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hi there!!! Since other folks are listing the staples you need to start WW, I thought I'd mention the convenience foods I have been addicted to since I started WW...and I'll give you the points values I used (but you might want to double check them yourself!)

Fiber One bars (oatmeal/choc chip) 2 pts
Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches 2 pts
Hostess 100 calorie pack - chocolate cupcakes (3) 1 pt (they are so good!)
Orville Redenbacher 100 cal popcorn mini bag 1 pt
WW candy (I think it's Whitmans) caramel creams 1 pt
Baked Doritos Scoops -15 - 2 pts (with a little salsa- which is 0 pts)
FF Pringles -15 - 1 pt
Lean Cuisine Panani (chicken, spinach, mushroom) 5 pts (I think the other ones - Southwestern Chicken, Chicken Club are 6 pts)

That's all I can think of for now - good luck and happy weight loss!! :thumbsup2
