Watching prices for the sleigh rides, the fishing, the richard petty driving thing going up, I'm wondering if there are going to be many 'discounts' going into the fall. We're going 11.13-11.22 and I'm starting to wonder if I should just get my rooms now and like flights, hope for a discount to come out? I mean, with the economy, there are probably going to be fewer people doing WDW, so will they try to put discounts out to lure you, or will they hold their lines on the people that will go?

Decisions, decisions..

Shouldnt they be coming out with the end of year 'discounts' soon? I dont know when they came out with them last year?

:confused3

I'm going Nov 14-23. I'm also waiting for a discount. I've read last year a deal came out in August.

I've also read the $1.00 is strong in other countries so wdw is getting good business from those other countries. I for one hope theres a great deal and not a large crowd when i go. This is my 1st trip to wdw

I was looking at a crowd prediction thing on another website, and it actually shows the time I'm going as slightly above average I would say, and the first weekend is a super soap weekend so that will boost DHS crowd some. But heck, it's WDW! So I'm sure it'll be GREAT. Still hope for some discount rates soon though :)

Last year the Disney Visa card holders discount came out mid-August and it was good for stays Oct through the week before Christmas. It was a really good discount and I'm hoping they will have it this year; yesterday that same discount was released for Aug-Sept. stays, so I will be watching!

We got a pretty good room only discount for Pop using our AAA for our stay (Thanksgiving week, Nov 23-29). We went through CRO and they applied the discount.

We'll hold on to that until/unless a better deal comes through with either Disney Visa or a code.

I'd book the room and wait for a special. I booked my room months ago, when the special came out I called and applied it.

Now I've got a pin code that's a little better then the special. Unfortunately they don't have any standard rooms available (the pin is only good for standards) But I keep calling. If one comes available I can switch to a standard room and use the pin.

Well i'm in the same boart holding out. Not sure to just do the AAA room only or AAA package or wait for wdw package deal that some mentioned came out in August in previos year. So confused:confused3 Earlier i read disney usually ups their tickets in August, so now i really dont know what to do. I'm paying with my visa for the no interest for 6 months. i just dunno:confused:

Okay, so you already had a standard room reserved, right? So, why can't they, when they cancel that ressie on that standard room , just immediately rebook it, because the room is still there? That's confusing! I didn't know there was a difference in applying a code or a pin to an existing ressie. I thought that when you got a ressie, and then a code or pin showed up, you could just apply it to your existing ressie?

I've been waiting for the discount to come out for Nov too, as it has the last few years, at least. Last yr I used the pin I got in mid Aug on a room/tickets deal. The discount is only on the room, right? So, is the discount on the room the same with tickets as without? I'm not sure if I should buy my tickets on undercover tourist, with the discount they have through mousesavers, or wait to see what the discounts bring? Or, will I be able to get just as good of a discount on my room without buying the tickets with it? Btw, I'm not buying the DDP. Never have and had thought about doing so this yr, but with the changes, particularly having to pay gratuities on top of the cost of the plan, that really takes away any deal. Our oop food cost last yr was close to what DDP would have been, including gratuities.
