Starting to think about DVC . . . where to begin?

We love Disneyland and the Grand Californian and it is very hard to get into if it is not your home resort because it is so small. Aulani is much bigger. Also we found GCV via resale -it is no longer for sale new.

Thanks for sharing. Yes; the small amount of units in GCV always made us think twice over its high price per point. At the same time, getting a subsidized contract for less at Aulani isn't that bad at all.

We were reasonably happy with our resale price. They were asking $128/point and we offered $124, which they accepted. As long as we get through ROFR, we will be good. The Timeshare Store does enough volume that I'm fairly confident they know what Disney will and will not pass, so hopefully we'll get through. We love the Grand Californian so much that we definitely wanted it as our home resort. We hope to get to WDW someday, but Disneyland is our go-to spot. Hope you find the perfect resale for you!
