Manta is coming along-that thing is HUGE. They have big construction walls up, but it hard to miss the blue track almost anywhere in the park.

The rib place is now a pizza place and the pig from out front is gone.
The Clydsdale statue has been removed from the garden area in front of the deli building. The deli is now called something like "lakeview terrace".

Thanks for the updates. :thumbsup2 Are any signs/posters on display in the park telling guests when Manta will be open? :confused3

Was there Saturday and didn't really see a sign, but the passporter has the opening as May 22.

Thanks for the info. :) I can't wait until October 2010 so we can try Manta out - sadly, it won't be open for our trip this April. :upsidedow

I'm looking forward to Manta - Does anyone know if you get soaked?

One of the early press releases mentioned that this was adjustable. In other words, on a 90-degree August day, probably yes; in the middle of January, not really. Guess we will have to wait and see how well this works in practice.

Manta cool
BBQ gone not cool

BBQ not gone just moved to Voyagers! Now when you get BBQ platters it is totally indoors. From what I saw on the menu it is a little changed though. I didn't see the combo platters listed on the one sign, but haven't eaten there yet because we have been getting the BBQ from the stands over by the concerts during Bud & BBQ weeks. I will let you know if you can still get the 2 or 3 meat platters. I also did not see the beef brisket listed on the big sign either. At the concert someone told me the Babybacks were $24.99 so that is more expensive than they used to be. I don't think Voyagers has the pizza, the pasta, orange chicken, or the salmon like they used to have either. I will miss the pasta so hope they have added it to a menu somewhere else.

How are the construction/changes going where the hospitality center and deli used to be. Is the new restaurant open yet? What is being done to the portion that used to be the bar and beer school? Thanks!!!!! It's so sad to know when we go again the clydesdale statue won't be there. I have plenty of pix but it's just sad.

I really did not notice any construction there-even in January. As far as I know it has been up and running as the new Terrace Deli Cafe serving turkey and beef sandwiches for weeks. The park map also lists The Terrace Bar open from 11AM-6PM.

Ya know I really didn't even notice the statue was gone as I rushed to Shamu Rocks. We are all wondering when the Clydesdales themselves will disappear. Sad, sad, sad if they do.

I was there this Saturday for Bud and BBQ and it was great. I paid the AP price of $13.95 for the all you can eat buffet at 1pm and I didn't eat the rest of the day.Followed it up with the Hall and Oates concert at 4pm.Also I can't believe they couldn't think of a better name to change the BBQ restaurant to than "PIZZA",I mean get a little creative.I couldn't ever see me paying for beer at the former Hospitality center,I mean it used to be free and now I have to pay for it,I'll go somewhere else in the park to buy it but not there.Manta looks great, the one thing I don't feel great about is that since it's a B&M design it will be just like the Superman Ultimate Flight flying coaster in Atlanta that I rode and that's the one coaster ride I've become a bit claustrophobic on as the ride secures your legs so they can't move freely and I'm not partial to my legs being restrained.

Anybody have any recent pictures of Manta and/or the hospitality center area changes? Any more info on Beer & BBQ - this is something we have never done but would like to in the future.

InBev is removing the AB symbols and services which is the common practice when you are selling an asset.
