Starting to plan Spring break '09 trip

Ok I finally got the OK from DH to start the planning again, i was very worried when he kept telling me we should go somewhere new. But he finally gave in !!! So I'm really debating over where to stay... last year was the first time we stayed on property and well we LOVED it!!! We used the DDP and loved that, we really loved it a lot. But here's the thing, every other year my grandparents let us use points from their timeshare so we can stay free of charge in a room with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen, ect. We can stay at Cyprus Palms that's about a 10-15 min drive OR if we can still get into Bonnet Creek that is pretty much in disney property but not 'on disney property' ... no DDP, no free parking, no EMH (which we only used 1 time anyways). So what would you do??? I'm so torn and need to decide what to do b/c i need to get booked through the timeshare, ect

It sounds like a good deal for you to stay offsite moneywise, but we would never stay offsite. We like the DDP and not having to rent a car and really enjoy all the magic of staying onsite.

Wow this is a hard decision to make. I have always said we won't go without staying on property but wow a free place...hmmm. Although I think I would save the money...especially if I didn't use the EMH's.

We have used the ddp the last two times we went but have decided against it for our next trip. With all of the changes they made we didn't really save money this last time we actually only broke even.

Have a great trip though with whatever decision you make!!!

See when we did stay on site we only used disney transportation 1 time the whole trip i just liked having out own car and always being able to fit the stroller, ect. So that's not an issue. And the EMH we mainly didn't use b/c it was such a very crowded time of year being spring break and easter all in the same week... but we did save some by using the DDP not a bunch but enough that it was nice, now i'm not so sure we'd eat that much if we hadn't gotten the DDP so we will probably save more by having to Pay OOP for meals... darn i still can't make the choice and dh is just really NO help! LOL
