Then list your time with the timeshare store and sell it. No need to worry. As for the rest of us 10 year owners we are more than pleased with our purchase.

It's not very often I agree with DeeP on her posts but on this one I give her Five Stars and say DITTO.
This "theme" in posts of if you don't like it just sell is very annoying. Anyone has the right to express concern, this is an appropriate place to do so.Then list your time with the timeshare store and sell it.

I think Disney and DVC needs to be held to a high standard of quality. When it's lacking, we need to bring attention to it to people who can make a difference. Excessive compulsive pickiness? No, but certainly high quality standards, especially at BCV, one of the absolute best gems of the entire DVC selection, second only to the vero beach resort. Even if lower standards were permissible at the OKW resort (ie. no interior hallways), they should certainly never be tolerated at the BCV resort.I understand that some would rather not acknowledge or dwell on the negative, but when it is obvious that there are some issues they shouldn't be ignored or brushed under the carpet so to speak.
I agree, but I didn't think you did. I was under the impression you thought renters had worse manners.Originally posted by Desperado

I'm wondering what makes VB or BCV have higher standards than the other DVC resorts. While OKW is different, it should be held to the same standards as any other DVC resort. Trash outside the doors is unacceptable to me, period. One can prefer, or even like, one resort better than another. I have my preferences as do most others. That's different than saying one resort IS better than anther.Originally posted by Desperado

Of course, we have no way of knowing whether someone leaving dirty diapers outside the door is an owner or a renter. It's not as bad, but there have been evidence of posts on this forum indicating poor manners from owners. We've seen posting false information as factual and then when presented with evidence not correcting it. Rationalizing why discourtesy and harm to others is Ok in all kinds of areas, smoking, pool courtesy, parking practices to name only a couple. I do think there are stronger incentives for owners to conduct themselves better especially for maintenance issues given they are responsible for dues and know they will be back. I believe on one thread a Timeshare manager even shared owners were more likely to report problems over renters. But reading posts from other owner rationalizing why harming and being disrespectful to others is OK and the "it's all about me" is swaying that view.Originally posted by Dean

Your right, even the older OKW should probably be held to as high quality standards. This should probably apply to trash outside an outside door as well as in a hallway even if it's less noticible. Even if pool slides and lifeguards are different, that shouldn't matter. Good point, even older OKW shouldn't be allowed to slip behind, especially with the resorts great advantage of larger rooms to keep to high cleanliness standards. I have not read as many cleanliness or trash problems at older OKW as at other resorts, they must be already doing a better job.Originally posted by Dean
