The plan I had been following just didn't seem to be working (my own modified low carb high protien plan). Anyway, about a week or so ago I dug out an old WW book that my MIL gave me a few years ago. I put off making a grocery list of healthy things to buy until last night.

So, today is day one of my new healthy eating plan, ala WW! :) The book is pretty old, so it's not the point system, but it has daily menu plans and lots of recipes.

I'm embarassed to say that I have GAINED weight since I got my DIS WISH clipart!   And it's not all muscle gain either, because my "fat" pants are snug again. D'oh!

I am hoping to lose 10 pounds before the end of May. We are going to England for two weeks and I would like to be in good shape since we'll be doing alot of walking (and probably eating!) :) I'll be happy with any loss though. :)

It feels good to type this post. There is no shame in starting over! I really let myself get too upset last week (about gaining weight) and then I just kind of started eating whatever I wanted...which wasn't a good thing.

Today is my day to recommit! Just got back from a nice power walk with DH and my sister and finished my healthy lunch of brie cheese, flatbreads, carrots, a pear and some broccoli.

The fridge is stocked with fresh fruits and veggies. I'm sure by the end of the week I'll feel much lighter on my toes!

Thanks for always being there, you great WISH board buddies!!!

Not only is there no shame in starting over..........I am proud of anyone who doesn't let setbacks derail them from getting to where they want to be!!

Best of luck to you.......this place is so powerful of a motivator to me!

:)

Good for you, grabbing hold and stopping yourself before you gained even more.

Today is a new day and a new week for you. Good luck! I hope you see a huge loss this week.

I'm proud of you.

It is easy to give up but to keep on fighting takes umph! Give yourself a pat on the back for not giving up!!

Good luck with the fresh start!!

Good for you Tig! :) Even though I have only been "official" for 1 week, I am feeling the need to recommit after this weekend.
So I am there with you, my friend. Best of luck to the both of us and hopefully there will be less of us NEXT week. :teeth:

Thanks EVERYONE!!!!

Wow, what a difference a day makes. I stuck to the program yesterday and loved it! I can do this! :)

I appreciate all your kind words and support. I'm hoping to report a loss in the near future! :) Maybe I'll get my first five pound clippie by the end of March! Wouldn't that be great?

I wish that you could find some WW points materials, Karen, because even though I lost a lot of weight with the old exchange program, doing Points is so much easier. And it allows me do my own kind of lower carb thing. I try to keep my daytime carbs (well for me it is starches, I know that there are carbs in a lot of other foods as well) to a minimum, and then allow myself starches at dinner. Or if I am out for lunch and go for something with starch, then I do no starch at dinner.

We will see how it all goes. :)

Have a GREAT week!
