Starting an annual pass at the waterpark?

Due to a variety of issues, my family would like to first activate our annual passes at the waterparks(we got the sports option obviously). Is this a problem or do we need to first head to Disney Springs?

Annual passes can be activated at a Water Park.

You can activate new APs at a water park ticket booth or Guest Relations even if you don't have a Water Park option on the AP.
