Ok, I have tried this before...again and again. Do you want to know what is different this time? My attitude, my determination, my will.
I am already eating better, using my treadmill, and will use my Wii fit as soon as I get new batteries for it! LOL!

I need to make sure I keep motivated. How does everyone do it?
So far my motivation is strong...I know it will weaken.

We are headed to WDW in Oct and I do not want to weigh 176#.
I have lost 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks with watching what I eat and using the treadmill. I want to lose 30-40 pounds. Honestly, I would be happy with 30 right now.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks
Lisa

:welcome: back to WISH!

an important part of the equation for me is accountability. that is what I find here in threads such as month Exercsie challenge, the Biggest Loser thread, etc. depending on your eating plan and goals, there should be a group already chatting and coming together to encourage and support each other. feel free to lurk among the groups and join in any thread...any time! or start one of your own if you don't find a group with similar interests/goals.

you are very wise to begin now...you have more than enough time to accomplish your goals! you CAN do it!!

Thanks for the ecouragement and I will take a look around.
Are you from Ohio?

With the small amount of weight loss I have had, it has encouraged me to keep going.
Hopefully, I will be a healthier weight when I get to Florida.

Glad you came back...

What helps me is that I try to take baby step to my changes that I want to make. If I try to do too much it is so much harder than taking one thing at a time (ex. drinking more water, limiting a certain food, moving more). I think we all hit the moments when our motivation slows down but just keep on these boards and I'm sure there will be someone who will motivate you on the day you need it.

Stay positive and focused and you can do it!!

Grats on finding the internal drive to commit.

What helps me is being organized with my goals all layed out.

I follow the WW points system plan that worked for me when I lost 50lbs. I unfortunately have added about 25 of that back on over the last 2 years, but am 9lbs down and 21 more to go this time.

I plan my next day's 3 meals and 3 snacks out the night before. It makes it easier for me to stay on a eating schedule and not letting my body get too hungry cause then I eat way too much of the wrong stuff. This has helped me dearly

Exercise is the other side. I love to vacation and enjoy my Disney trips and decided that running is the way to having what I like. So I started running 4 weeks ago and have worked up to 3-4 miles and DH and I just registered for the 2010 1/2 marathon at Disney. I make finding a new song for my Ipod a daily challenge.

Grats and keep it up cause you deserve it

Welcome back. I'm returning and changing my attitude as well. I'm also prioritizing a bit and making time for "ME". I know I deserve to spend time one me and making me healthy and happier.

Congrats on the 4 lb loss!

I'm trying again, too!

My 20th anniversary is this Nov and turning 50 Sept 2010. I really don't want to be at this weight. Hopefully these milestones will keep me on track!

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the WISH board.

I started in January on my Wii Fit and lost 5 lbs, but I only made it on two days in February. :confused3

I DID get on today! So, I am starting again as well! :thumbsup2

Question, I write down what I am going to eat the next day too, but by 12pm, I'm back on my "what do I feel like eating" and the list is garbage! Background, I am a stay-at-home mom, so I am just in my house most of the day. My kids are K & 3rd grade.

Any tips?? I know it's all up to me to *just do it* but 10 years of habits are soooo hard to break.

Thanks!
