...is always so tough for me. I start a good book, I get to know the characters, I get into the plot, I pull for the good guy, I "boooo" the bad guy, then three or four days later, I'm done with the book!

So I grab a new book off the shelf, and start over. Except now, I have to learn all brand new characters, who live in an entirely different setting, and live totally different lives than the last book of characters.

It's just so tough to get started into a new book for me...is there an easier way (without reading run-on "series" books?).

umm, no

:teeth: Nope.:p Actually, there were 2 authors, I can't remember who they are, wrote a couple of books using the same characters. One author would update you on the characters from the other author. Pretty cool. I wish I could remember who they were.
