Starting 2007 Off Right - Final Day is Up!!! Pg 16!

Bumping you up to the top, I couldn't find you after I movd you over to the regular boards.

Just found your trip report and I'm lovin' it. You two are very cute together.

That is awesome that the CM worked with you to get the room you wanted. I hope we have the same luck at POFQ in October.

Can't wait to read more. popcorn::

Hi there...just subscribing.

I noticed lots of character shirts in your pictures. Did you buy them at the parks, or did you have them custom made?

Jen - thanks for reading - the castle does look A LOT different, but I Love it this way!! :thumbsup2 It looked nice & freshly painted & was just beautiful. :goodvibes

2BusyPlanning - I've said the exact same thing! :rotfl: I thought Crocs were hideous when I first saw them, but I did end up buying a regular pair before the trip because I had heard they were so comfortable & I always have sore & achey feet at WDW. I must say, my feet were more comfortable the days I wore the Crocs over my running shoes. :thumbsup2

Crystal - Yep - I think we just missed each other! I've been following along on your great trip report, too! :)

DreaGirl - good luck on getting the room you really want at POFQ. We've never had a CM not work with us. ;)

swillis - Thanks! We do have A LOT of Disney shirts. ;) After 9 trips together since 2000, we've bought a lot of shirts down there. A lot of them have also come from the Disney Store & I've also found some cute ones at Target or JC Penney's. :)

On our way into Epcot, we had to stop at Guest Relations to pick up our Disney Dining Experience Card that I had just purchased a week or so before the trip. We were going to utilize it on our first meal of the trip! :thumbsup2 We quickly got our temporary card & walked thru the main gate. On our way to Italy, we ran into some characters in the USA & got some fun shots:

We made it to Alfredo’s just barely on time for our ADR & we were seated at a nice table for two. The restaurant was mostly empty at 2:30 when we were sat, so our meal started out nice & quiet. :thumbsup2 This was our 2nd time eating here & since we enjoyed it so much on our last trip, we were really looking forward to starting our trip off here again. We both started out with Diet Cokes & enjoyed some delicious bread & olive oil to dip it in (we hadn’t eaten anything since 7:30 am at the airport, so that bread really hit the spot! LOL) I had originally planned on getting my standby Chicken Parmesan (it was deliciouso last year!) but after seeing another table get a little pizza, that’s what I had a taste for. I order the Pizza Margherita & hubby ordered the Tagliolini alla Vodka con Gamberoni (Pasta in a vodka sauce with some shrimp.) We shared a bit of each other’s meals & both were really very delicious. ::yes:: We had pretty good service here – it just took a little while longer than we would have liked to get our check cashed out. We were too full for dessert, so we decided to hold out for that until later.

I believe after lunch we spent some time just taking in everything around the World Showcase. At some point we ran over & got ourselves some Fastpasses for Soarin’ & after our food had settled a bit, we went on Soarin’ & also checked out the new Living Seas with Nemo & Friends. :fish: I just loved the seagulls out front! (Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine – I can hear them now….) :rotfl: Anyways, we really thought riding in Clammobiles in the new Nemo ride was SO cute! :) It is great that they have turned this attraction into a more “kid-friendly” area. I can remember being SO bored at Epcot as a kid (which is really funny to us both now that we LOVE Epcot now! LOL.) Epcot has really tried to turn it around over the last few years by creating more kid’s activities – allowing them to decorate masks around the “World” & creating more kid-friendly rides – oh & don’t forget about the candy lady in Japan! :rotfl:

Back to the report….by this time it was almost dark out & can you say freezing?! :sad2: We thought that since we were coming from the frozen tundra of Northeast Ohio we’d be just fine in jeans & t-shirts all evening. Let me tell you…when that sun goes down in January, so does the temperature!! I was getting so tired (probably from being up so early to catch our flight & not sleeping well the night before) & chilly that I was almost ready to call it a night & head back to the Resort. :scared1: (I believe I was also concerned about never seeing our dear luggage again - & being forced to wear the same t-shirt & jeans for 10 days straight - after some of the DME Horror stories I had read here on the DIS…)

Anyways, we ended up running into MouseGears for warmth where we stumbled upon an entire section of various Mickey items 40% off!!! On display, I found this adorable light blue Mickey Mouse hoodie that I had almost bought back in October, but never made it back to get – so, I got it for 40% off in January instead! :thumbsup2 LOL Hubby was also able to find a black long-sleeve polo/sweatshirt to keep him warm & toasty. So, now that we were nice & toasty again, it was time to consider getting toasted – LOL – just kidding…or am I?! :rolleyes1

One of my hubby’s favorite vacation traditions involves getting a half yard at the Rose & Crown in the UK. :drinking1 Most days when we’re doing this, we also take in a British Invasion show (or two, or three.) :rockband: This trip, I hit a new milestone….something I had never done before…I got a half yard of my very own! :drinking1 :thumbsup2

I’ve never been an avid beer drinker, so it has taken me several years to “enjoy” drinking a beer, let alone many different beers. Hubby has always been an avid beer connoisseur & enjoys trying different kinds of beer when he can. We thoroughly enjoyed our first ever Food & Wine Festival this past October where we were able to try many new beers (& food, of course ;) ) around the World. Anyways – one of my favorite beers at the booth in the UK happened to be Stella Artois. So, when we walked into the Rose & Crown to get my hubby a half yard, and I saw they had Stella on tap…I ordered up one for myself! :thumbsup2 You should have seen the look on hubby’s face – it was pure pride that his dear wife of almost seven years was actually getting a half yard of her own. :rotfl: (On a side note – the bartender told us that even though Stella is a Belgium beer, it is the top selling beer in the UK, so they sell it at the Rose & Crown.)

With half yards in hand, we rushed out to the garden just in time to get some front row seats on a bench for our favorite performance at Epcot – the British Invasion!

We both love Beatles music & it is an important tradition of ours to see the British Invasion many times during our ventures to Epcot throughout our vacations. The British Invasion was awesome, as usual, and after they were done playing we strolled back thru the park & towards the buses. It had been a very long, but very enjoyable day & we really wanted to get back to our room & make sure we had our lovely luggage waiting on us….

Excellent installment :)
I think you made my day, Stella Artois is available in a half yard!!!??? THAT is Disney Magic!!

Great installment! Bread with OO hits the spot for me even when I'm not hungry. ;)

Enojoying your trip report! This trip will be such a special memory for you when you are lugging diaper bags, strollers etc through the park! Dh and I had a hard time and suffered through 2 miscarriages (which really tested my faith) BUT we now have a 3 yr old dd and a 5 yr old ds. It will all work out...BELIEVE :wizard: ! And even though I do not know you situation let me put a thought in your head "progesterone" (once I found out I was pregnant I had to use progesterone to prevent miscarriage).
Cannot wait to read more of your report! Pixie Dust to you and God Bless pixiedust:
Paige

Great report so far. When I was at WDW in December I discovered Stella Artois for the first time(1/2 Yard Woot Woot) and I have been hooked ever since.
