Starting 2007 Off Right - Final Day is Up!!! Pg 16!

Excellent installment :)
I think you made my day, Stella Artois is available in a half yard!!!??? THAT is Disney Magic!!

It sure is! :thumbsup2 You'll have to get one next time you're there - the best part is bringing it back later in your trip for a cheaper refill. ;)

Great installment! Bread with OO hits the spot for me even when I'm not hungry. ;)
You sound like me. DH gets so excited when I order a beer when we go out. I like Bass though. We'll def. have to make a stop a beer.

Hubby loves Bass - and I am also a bread junkie. :)

I love your trip report! You've definitely got me hooked...can't wait to read more!By the way I love the picture of you guys with Goofy and Max!

Thanks for following along - we saw them together in several locations this trip.

Tell us more!!popcorn:: We are here and WAITING!!!!

Thanks for reading along!

Whoa, i've never even heard of the half yard, but that is one HUUUUGE beer! Loving the report so far, can't wait to read more!

It is definitely a large beer. :rotfl: I believe it is the equivalent of about 2 beers - I felt pretty good after just one of these - the cold weather & my achy feet suddenly didn't bother me anymore. ;)

I can't wait for more!! We want more!!!!:yay:

Thanks for reading along!

Enojoying your trip report! This trip will be such a special memory for you when you are lugging diaper bags, strollers etc through the park! Dh and I had a hard time and suffered through 2 miscarriages (which really tested my faith) BUT we now have a 3 yr old dd and a 5 yr old ds. It will all work out...BELIEVE :wizard: ! And even though I do not know you situation let me put a thought in your head "progesterone" (once I found out I was pregnant I had to use progesterone to prevent miscarriage). Cannot wait to read more of your report! Pixie Dust to you and God Bless pixiedust:
Paige

Thanks for the kind words & advice - I'm going to talk to my doctor about that very thing. :goodvibes I've been reading a lot about it lately. I'm sure we will always fondly remember our trips alone, but we are finally at the point where we'd just Love to bring a little one down with us.

loving the report.
Thanks for reading!

Great report so far. When I was at WDW in December I discovered Stella Artois for the first time(1/2 Yard Woot Woot) and I have been hooked ever since.

I wasn't crazy about the Bass or Harp, so this was a perfect find for me. Hubby also tried a half yard of Guiness one night. :)

So many Great Trip Reports and so little time
It seems that everyday I come across another trip report that I haven’t seen before and get caught up in enjoying it, and yours is another one of those.

Enjoying reading about your trip and checking out the pictures, sounds like you are off to a great start, looking forward to more.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

So what you were like 14 when you got married? :rotfl: You guys don't look a day over 21! ;)
Enjoying your TR immensely!

:rotfl: Thanks!! We tend to get that A LOT! LOL I always have my ID out & waiting. ;) I'm actually turning 29 April 1st & hubby turns 30 in less than 2 weeks. We've been together for 11 years - we started dating the last month of my Senior year of high school - he even took me to my Sr. Prom. :goodvibes

HI- needing my trip report fix i picked yours and whatda know - were neighbors. as soon as i saw you flew out of cleveland i had to check to see where you were from. we are here in parma heights. reading your tr is making the anticipation of going even more (two weeks from today we leave) - so jealous about you flying - we are driving with two kids 5 and 2. :grouphug: on your miscarriage. can't wait to hear more!!!! hopefully you get alot more done before we leave!!!

I know exactly where you are - small world! It's always easier to fly with just two - I know the price goes up SO much when trying to fly with bigger families - growing up we drove everywhere & I always enjoyed it. Have a great trip!! :)

Loving your report!!!

Thanks for checking it out! :)

Thanks so much for following along! :thumbsup2

Hope I didn't forget anyone! I'm working on day 2 now & should have another installation up by morning...

Well, we were very pleasantly surprised when we got back to our room at the POP around 9:15 & ALL of our luggage was in our room just waiting on us!! :thumbsup2 We both breathed a huge sigh of relief knowing that we’d have clean underwear for the next 10 days! :rotfl: LOL We went for a walk up to the food court & refilled our mugs & each got a Mickey head Rice Krispy Treat for a bedtime snack. After enjoying our Diet Cokes & Rice Krispy Treats we began “unpacking.” Now, I’m never much of an unpacker on our trips, I tend to mostly just live out of my suitcase – hubby on the other hand is an unpacker & even likes to hang up a bunch of his shirts. (He also irons almost everything, and I iron like twice a year.;) ) But, since we were switching resorts after just four nights at POP this time, neither one of us really unpacked much at this point.

We called it a night pretty early tonight, I believe hubby was asleep in front of the television by about 10 p.m. :happytv:

Thurs, January 18th~
Welcome to our first full day at Disney World!! :woohoo: Hubby & I tend to be early risers on our trips, so we just love EMH mornings at the parks. We try to utilize them whenever possible!! We would rather rise early & enjoy the parks with low crowds & then spend some time relaxing in the afternoon before returning to another park.

Sooooo….we were heading to the Magic Kingdom today for EMH! :thumbsup2 The weather this morning was just pretty miserable :sad2: – the forecast was for it to be sunny & 75 by noon, so you guessed it, we left the room in just t-shirts again! LOL We also didn’t bring along the ponchos because there was no chance for rain even shown on the Weather Channel. By the time we got to the park it was VERY foggy & just misting all morning. It wasn’t pouring by any means, but just enough to get your hair & clothes damp & give you that chilled feeling.

We started out our first full morning at the Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland – we did Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh & Snow White – then, headed to Tomorrowland for Space Mountain, but the line was out the door & not moving for some reason (my guess is that it broke down) so, we grabbed Fast Passes for later & hit Buzz Lightyear (one of hubby’s favorites.) After that we ran over to Pirates & thank goodness there was no line like the afternoon before & we got right on – now my complaint about Pirates this trip is that on more than one occasion they tried to squeeze us in with 2 other adults – I’ve never had them do this to me before in over a dozen trips. The park wasn’t crowded, yet they were packing the boats up like sardine cans! This time was the worst – they put us in a row with two large adults & it was a VERY cramped & unenjoyable ride. :sad1:

After Pirates we headed over a to Crystal Palace a little early for our 10:05 ADR for breakfast, but we were ready to get out of the weather. Now, Crystal Palace for breakfast has become a must-do on all of our trips. Tigger has always been my favorite character, so anyplace that I can eat breakfast with Tigger rules in my book. But, in addition to the fun character interaction here, breakfast is always scrumptious! Hubby loves the breakfast lasagna & I’m happy with the puffed cinnamon French toast & the Tigger waffles. ;)

IMG_1602.jpg

We noticed on our two most recent trips that Crystal Palace seems to be getting very crowded during the 8 a.m./before the park is officially open time-slot, so we decided to try eating breakfast later in the day. I must say, overall, this was a much more enjoyable dining experience. The buffet was never over-crowded (we’ve seen it with huge lines) and we had good service. The only downfall was that since we were thru the buffet so quickly, we did end up waiting another 15-20 minutes after we were done eating to see all of the characters – and of course, Tigger was the last one to come around, so we couldn’t leave without seeing him!! LOL We were still out of this restaurant in less than an hour – I don’t want to give anyone the impression that we spent 2 hours in this restaurant waiting on characters to come around. ;) I think when we were sat we had literally just missed all of the characters, I just wish that they could monitor this better when seating new tables & there are other empty tables to pick from.

IMG_1603.jpg

I know we spent a little more time at the Magic Kingdom, but we were still feeling cold & damp & the misty rain & fog wasn’t letting up, so we ended up heading back to our room before noon. When we got there we changed into warmer (& dry) clothes & checked out the weather forecast again on the Weather Channel…it was now noon & instead of 75 & sunny it was about 63 & rainy/misty. So much for an accurate forecast! LOL So, with my warm sweats on & my damp/messy hair thrown into a hat, we headed off to Downtown Disney for a couple hours to scope out all the cool souvies we were going to want to buy later in the week. ;) I ended up buying a cute long-sleeve Thumper shirt since I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to warm up on our trip.

After our little venture to Downtown Disney we found ourselves back at POP Century again trying to figure out where to head next. My itinerary had MGM Studios listed since it was an EMH evening, but we had a number of problems with this plan:

1 – we don’t usually have good luck with crowds during the Evening EMH
2 – Rock-n-Roller Coaster was still closed for refurbishment
3 – Possibly the most important – we wanted something good to eat!! popcorn::

We have found the counter service food selection the absolute worst at MGM Studios. :sad2: I’ve read countless complaints on this very topic & just can’t understand how there are such great choices at every one of the three other parks, but nothing edible at MGM. So, the decision was made….off to Epcot we will go! :cool1:

On our way into Epcot we walked over to get another Fast Pass to use on Soarin’ later – the line is always so crazy for this one! After getting our Fast Passes we went back over to the Seas to ride Nemo again & we also checked out Turtle Talk with Crush. This show was just awesome!! There’s not much more you can say about it! LOL The interaction with Crush & the audience was hysterical – again, this is something that I had read about here on the DIS, but couldn’t fully appreciate it until I saw it. I look forward to seeing it again on future trips. :goodvibes

Another thing you should all really check out when you go over to see Nemo & Friends are the Manatees up on the 2nd level. There is a viewing area where the Manatees are fed big heads of lettuce. Watching them use their big lips & flippers to gobble up all that lettuce is a sight to see. They currently have two rescued Manatees & they even had a Cast Member working there that gave a lot of great background info on the rescued guys they have there & will answer questions, too. We ended up going back later in the week just to watch these guys again. :thumbsup2

After our visit with Nemo, Crush & the Manatees, we stopped off at the Character Connection over in one of the Innoventions buildings. They have a really cute area set up with different backgrounds where you can get a picture made with: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy & Chip & Dale. They were all dressed in their new blue celebration outfits!

Another must-eat at location for us at least once every trip (& usually more often than that!) is Cantina de San Angel – or the counter service location in Mexico at Epcot. We love Mexican food – I think I could eat it every day & be happy – and this restaurant has become a great tradition for us. :goodvibes We enjoy eating our Plato Combinacions & Churros on the patio next to the lake. By this time the weather had cleared up & we saw the sun for the first time – as it was going down - since arriving in FL! :rotfl2:

With full bellies, we spent a bit of time enjoying the countries in the World Showcase. We spent some time shopping in China & I found a beautiful silk headband. We also ran into Mulan & Mushu (who I’d never seen before):
IMG_1614.jpg

We spent some time in Norway & rode Maelstrom – the Norwegian Boat Ride. We spent time strolling thru all of the shops in the USA, Italy & Japan & also watched the Candy Lady in Japan for the first time. I had read about her here on the DIS, but you really have to see it for yourself to believe some of the creations she comes up with! :thumbsup2 We also watched some of the drummers in Japan & Mo’Rockin in Morocco. Later on in the evening we also ended up seeing The British Invasion again. I’m having a hard time remembering how late we stayed at Epcot that night & we didn’t even have any half yards that night! LOL :rotfl:

We ended the night again at POP Century - only 2 more nights here. This is the Rubix Cube staircase right by our room:

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that Piglet, Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger can all be found at the Crystal Palace. It's a must for us each trip.

Another great installment. I love your writing style. I feel like you are giving us live updates. :thumbsup2

We both breathed a huge sigh of relief knowing that we’d have clean underwear for the next 10 days! :rotfl: LOL

I LOVE your Eeyore shirt. Eeyore is my DD's favorite. She totes her Eeyore all over the house. :) Where did you get it?

Thanks for the info. on the CP. I have been debating about when to make our ADR.

I love all your character pictures. You two look so cute. I also love the Cantina de San Angel, it is so good. Yum!

Looking forward to your next one...until then....:laundy:

I'm also a BIG Eeyore fan and was going to comment on your shirt as well. I think you and my hubby shop at the same place because for my Birthday last year he bought me a shirt that looks very close to yours and also the pants, jacket and shoes to match. Your pink suit looks (is that Bambi?) looks like the Eeyore one he got me for Christmas. It's a small world.......:)

Great report so far. I hope the weather got better for you.

Well....it gets somewhat better. ;) Love your pooches!! Thanks for reading!

You shoudl definitely check out Crystal Palace then - we've been there 10 times & counting & have seen Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore & Pooh at every meal. :thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes I've actually had that shirt for a couple years now - I know I wore it on our Sept 2004 trip, anyways. I think I got that one at JC Penney's - I've actually gotten quite a few Eeyore t's & hoodies there in the Jr's Department. You'll have to check it out for your DD. ;) We've read other bad reviews about the Cantina - but, we LOVE it!!

Great trip reports so far. I'm hooked. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Thanks for following along - I love your doggie pics, too! They look like real buds! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, did you find your pink disney crocs?!

Maybe! ;) You'll have to keep reading to find out! :rotfl: It actually turns into quite an adventure later on in the trip....when it becomes my mission in life to hunt down Pink Disney Crocs. :rotfl2:

I'm also a BIG Eeyore fan and was going to comment on your shirt as well. LOL - that is Bambi on those sweats! :lmao: I think maybe its our hubbies that shop together - he got me that pink suit for Christmas just to wear on our January trip. :goodvibes I also got a blue Pluto sweater, hat & scarf set, and Lady & the Tramp thermal pj's. For Valentine's Day yesterday I also got 2 shirts from the Disney Store - a Lady & the Tramp & Mickey & Minnie one. ;)

I love reading your report! And I love seeing what you wear each day! I always have to wear Disney shirts every single day of the trip!

I just found your TR and have just caught up. Lovin' it. For some reason I can't see any of the pics. I just get the dreaded red X place holder:confused3 . I didn't have this problem last week (although I'm reading at work and they may have done some changin' things up - grr). Has anyone else had this happen to them recently? Help - I wanna see all the pretty pictures too!

Anywhoo - keep it up. Your TR is great - pics or no pics.
