DH & I are steaming along on the South Beach Diet. For the first 2 wks. in Phase 1, he lost 14 lbs. & I lost about 9. Now we can add-back-in some foods. I'm so excited by a piece of fruit per day (not in A.M., still no bananas). We had oatmeal for breakfast / no added sweetness. I liked it, DH did not. We have a cup of blueberries to share for afternoon snack. Unlike the "mashed potato" thread, we like the South Beach (Cauliflower) Mashed potatoes & will probably have them for dinner tonight. DSs are less thrilled with them & refer to them as that "Weird Cauliflower" thing, but they still eat them.I'm happy to be in Phase 2, but I guess I'll really miss the rapid weight loss.
I think it's an aquired taste, I used to HATE oatmeal and now I really enjoy it! Are you using instant or the stuff you have to cook a while? Or is it just that it's too bland tasting for him?
