"Official start" of the holiday season is Nov 12th.

I believe I read that nov 10-11 will be the filming dates for the Christmas special.

We most likely aren't even going to DLR this year. But I am having fun planning a "pretend" trip for early December. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the first week of Christmas decor in case we did end up going.
