Starline Tours??

Has anyone ever taken one of their tours?

We are thinking of taking one of their tours on our up-coming trip. It will be my DD's (12 yo) first time in California & she's picked one from the website. Mom & I have only been there once before & we took a tour from a different company that was not worth the $ we spent.

This company seems to dominate the Hollywood area. We just took their tour last week. We chose the hop-on-hop-off tour. The "red line" thru Hollywood gets you by a lot of places in a short span of time, but if there are offbeat things you want to see in Hollywood, this tour isn't going to do it for you. We also took the "yellow line" to Santa Monica... this was like being held captive. It pretty much goes all the way to Santa Monica without stopping, and it isn't a short ride. We also had numerous dumb drivers who would go past stops, etc... we had one who actually did a three-point turn (with a double decker bus!) on a narrow street in Hollywood, because he drove past the stop. The busses are also pretty old and worn. We likely would not use this company again.
