I havent been to Disneyland in over 28 years. So, it is like my first trip. For I can hardly remember being there. I am nervous with driving in unfamiliar territory. So i decided I would look into a tour company. I found 2, that would take me from the hollywood renassiance hotel to disneyland. I have only looked into Starline tours. I think it is 103-or 106 to be picked up from the hotel. They say they cover admission for one park. And they will drive me back. To the hotel.I will take the tour two days, to see both parks. But the problem I am having, is the park closes, at 10 p.m. But, the tour bus website says its all day but it lists, pick up time of 8:30p.m.. I really wanted to stay until park closing. and buy the 3 day hopper listed on disney.com.I would be able to hop between park, instead of being shut off to one park, with the tour. But, I really have no idea if the buses back to fullerton, run that late in the eve. And looking at how long the commute on the transit system at night seems, kind of eek. Especially since I will be navigating it alone.

My questions are do the buses run very late, back to fullerton? After park closing? Is navigating the transit system alone at night as scary as I think? Do people do this?

Most of all how is starline tours? After pick up in the morning. What time do you usually get to the park. Any experience or feedback, is greatly appreciated? Thank you very much.

Anyone?? I guess there are not as many people on the disneyland side of the boards. Why I have recieved no replies.

I've never been - ut have you looked into taking a cab or other shuttle so that you can not be so restricted? Leaving so early you would likley miss fireworks and such. Also, does the city have its own transportation website - if they do that may be a good place to look.

The OCTA #43 bus runs all night long (http://www.octa.net/bus/pdf/sept2006/route043.pdf), but I'm not sure how that helps you. Were you planning on taking the train or another bus once you get to Fullerton?

Adi and Jlmarr, thanks for your replies.

Jlmarr, I was asking about the buses back to fullerton. Because, i was going to make the return trip on the amtrack then onto the metro, the same trip. I would have taken to get there. I was pretty sure amtrack and the metrorail would run late, but wasnt sure of the buses.

Am I wrong about amtrack, and the metrorail back to hollywood? Do they close early? And another question where would I catch the 43 bus, that goes to disneyland? Is the bus stop far from fullerton station? Do I cross streets? And are there taxis, outside of fullerton. So many questions I have. Thank you in advance for helping me. I do so much appreciate it.

Someone posted about the Anaheim Resort Transit on another thread. http://www.rideart.org/ On this map they showed a route that goes to Metrolink. You could walk over to one of the DLR hotels and take the ART to the Mertolink. Also you might price out a cab. We are doing one day at the Discovery Science Center and the last 2 days of the trip in Huntington Beach. I called Yellow Cab and was able to give them the locations and they gave me a flat price for the trip.

One thought seeing you will be alone you might take Metrolink there and then a cab back at night. I think that would feel a little safer. In the evening I would just walk over to one of the hotles (probably Grand Californian) and get a cab from there.

It looks like the last northbound train is 10:27pm, or 11:24pm on Fri-Sat-Sun:

The MTA Red line runs later than that. As for the #43 bus, it stops right at the train station, part of the Fullerton Transportation Center. Looks like the schedule has been updated from what I listed above. Here's the new link:

To catch the northbound #43 you'd need to cross Harbor Blvd and look for the OCTA bus stop just north of the crosswalk.
