Hi all!

I just came back from DL yesterday and I wanted to report that all those 1980s video games that were over in Flynn's Arcade during Electronica are all over at the Starcade now!

I was walking out of Space Mountain and Fix It Felix caught my eye as I had just finished watching Wreck It Ralph the night before (good movie by the way). As I walked in I noticed all the other video games and a BIG smile came over my face! :)

The cool thing was that most of the people playing the games were adults 30-50! Let the kids have the hi tech games....I'll be over here playing Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Donkey Kong!

Hooray!!!! I had hoped this would happen. Are they on the 2nd floor of the Starcade or on the 1st?

Nothing says "tomorrow" like video games from 30 years ago.

This is such a waste of space. Would be so much better if they put in a restaurant into this space or maybe a small Star Wars themed attraction or heck even character greeting.

BTW,
In this same area is 4 full-size "Fix-it-Felix Jr." games....and they are free to play :thumbsup2

Star Tours takes place a long time ago, Buzz Lightyear isn't the future, Astro Orbiter is.. well 'nuff said. Point is little to nothing in Tomorrowland says "Tomorrow" at all.

I'll take the arcade! I'm very excited to play some of those games when I visit.

You are kidding!! The 6 year old is obsessed with Wreck It Ralph and is very curious about all of those old games. We are going to Disney on Monday and I can't wait to show her. Thanks!!!

I dont think there is enough room for any sort of restaurant or attraction unless they took out the Captain EO theater and the Star Trader.

I personally LOVE the fact the old video games are there. I can play those! These new games require so much more coordination that I dont have! ;)

I had heard rumors of them eventually moving the Jedi Academy to the theater. I dont know if thats true or not.

WAIT!!!!! is there a second floor of the Starcade??????????????????????????????????????????/

I spent a decent amount of time in the Starcade during my last trip, which is the first time I can ever recall spending any amount of time in there. On previous visits it's all been claw machines and the table scraps of the arcade industry, so it was a welcome change to see some of the old-school arcade machines in their place.

Yeah Vlad there is a 2nd floor. I haven't been in the starcade recently but there used to be moving ramps that would take you upstairs and bring you back down. The last time I was there they had put registers in front of them to block them off. As you walk through the SM line on the top next to he starcade building you can kind of see through the glass - that was the 2nd floor. It used to have an x-wing fighter hanging from the ceiling but I think that got moved to the main Star Trader area (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I can't wait to go to Starcade. Ironically, I don't think there is a Tron game there at the present time.

oh yes! i remember the old starcade before the renovation, i remember they had an arm wrestling game, OH MY NOSTALGIA!!
anyways, i don't like the new starcade very much, last time they had one of those arcade where you could win an ipod, xbox 360 game, stuff like that, which of course you never win, that seemed out of place for disneyland.
innoventions used to have a little stage with rockband with all the instruments and a big projector screen and some lights and you could play there it was fun, i miss that, now they have kinect games and disney infinity.
