Starbucks gift card deal for first 100,000

This came up through a blog I follow and shows up on the Starbucks site if you go to e-cards. If you use a VISA to buy a $10 Starbucks e-gift card, it will add $10 to the gift card amount. I just bought one - it shows $10 when you pay but the receipt shows a $10 bonus amount. You can pick a delivery date. The site says you can't give to yourself and one per person.

I sent one from my Starbucks account email to another email. I have the receipt showing the bonus already and am waiting for the e-card to show up in my other email account. I will give it to DH to buy me a drink or see if I can use it when it gets here.

I did this deal an hour ago. It was so easy! I sent it to my hubby and I got it within minutes. Now it's all loaded on to my gold card!

I got this deal last night too! So now I have this one, and the one from a month or so ago from Groupon. Can someone fill me in on Starbucks rewards program. I downloaded the Starbucks app, but didnt see anything there. Also, is there anyway to load these e-cards onto the app so you dont have to actually have the print out with you? Thanks for the info!!

You can add the card to your app. I go to the pay screen, drag up from the bottom and press the + sign to add a card. Then you just type in the card number and security code. Press add.
The rewards program gives you a star for each purchase on a registered card. 12 stars for a free drink or food item

You can combine the cards on the starbucks apps so that all the balances are on one card. As for the rewards program, it depends on the level you're on. Every time you make a purchase, you earn a star. The free drink/food item every 12 stars is only for gold level members. You'll have to earn 30 stars in one year to get to that level. For the green (earn 5 stars in one year) and welcome level, the only perk you really get is a free drink on your birthday.
