Starbucks for kids?

When my boys were that age, the last thing they needed was caffeine! I would've convinced them to get something else...anything else but caffeine!

As a treat, I would. However, it seems to me that most of the non-coffee drinks are loaded w/fat and/or calories, so I wouldn't do it ona regular basis.

But you are the parent...it's your call.

Coffee I wouldnt mind.. My kids have an occasional small cup.. but $13.50?? Holy crap. I wouldnt spend over 3.00 a cup for myself and even than thats pushing it.

A venti for a 9 year old is huge! I can barely finish one. My only question - why did she order it non-fat? Not that it's bad, just strange coming from a 9 year old.

I think it's fine! We get Starbucks every now and then for my 10 year old, and it's considered a treat only because they're so flippin' expensive. We usually get her a decaf mocha Frappachinno, or a decaf mocha. Not sure why we even order decaf for her, but we always have. Probably because we introduced her to Starbucks when she was 3!

BTW, I'm assuming the $13.50 is typo and you meant to say $3.50! Sounds about right for Starbucks.

I was going to; then I thought "hey, she got the coffee and the Coach scarf that cost $150" - so the extra shot was just a little over the top.

Maybe if she gets all "A"s next time............

I missed it too. I am one of the ones being made fun of I guess, b/c I asked the simple question of opinions of what age is appropriate for girls to start shaving their legs, not debating it one way or another, just asking for opinions.

Guess I'm a bad mom, bad person and bad DIS-er for asking for input.
