I ordered two different Starbucks e-cards from airmiles last night. Sent them to my email as "send to a friend". How long does it take for the e-cards to show up in the email account they were sent to?

I ordered one on my own account and sent it to my email and it showed up within minutes. Did something go wrong with the other two (email address is good) or do they just take longer to come through?

Thank you Sara, I did online chat and they suggested that I resend the e-voucher. I tried that and it told me the action couldn't be done and to check back later. I had to go out this morning and when I got home the e-vouchers were waiting for me in my mailbox. Don't know what happened but they are on my card now waiting to be used at WDW.

For others reading this, e-vouchers whether redeeming yourself or sending to a friend should be in the destination email account within an hour. If they aren't something has gone wrong.

Hi ottawamom! Just jumping on the thread here - wondering if I’m correct in thinking - if I have Starbucks e-cards sent to me by email - can I load/add them to a reloadable Starbucks plastic card? And then use it at Disney parks? Thanks!

Hi CaperRD
Just jumping in here because this is how I offset the cost of snacks and food on my Disney Trips. Yes you can just go to your starbucks account and load the e-vouchers to your plastic card.
I actually have 3 cards
One for staff xmas gifts,,one for my xmas trip and one for my march break trip.

I have two cards, and they're in my phone case and registered on my app. I have one with a smaller amount of $$ that I give to DD, one that's mine with most of the money on it. Great for when traveling. I have used them in airports across Canada, and while the USA, UK and France. It's great way to offset some food costs as I get Starbucks cards for gifts, and through airmiles and other rewards programs.

They use whatever rate corporate has set for the day/week. Your Canada $ card will be charged for your coffee in $Cdn. So say a coffee is $5.00, your card balance may be reduced by $6.50 ($5US converted to Cdn $)

Ok! Thanks for the quick replies! Can I load my e-voucher onto a US Starbucks card or can I only do it on a Canadian one?

One time I saw on the budget board a sale with groupon for starbucks cards,,,I ordered one online and while it was a great deal I could not add money onto to it because it was a USD card. This was two years ago.....things may have changed though.
Regards
Mel

I also got that deal on Groupon, it was awesome! Well, I have both cards but I guess I'll just transfer it onto my Canadian card to be safe. Thanks.

So I must have thrown out my Canadian gift card once it was used up. Can I use e-vouchers to purchase a gift card at Starbucks?

im pretty sure you can just go to any starbucks and pick up an empty card, sign up for starbucks rewards and transfer the e-voucher over to the physical card (as long as there is a balance of over $5 on the e-voucher)

Ok thanks, I'll do that.

So I picked up an empty gift card from Starbucks and asked the cashier if I could load this online at home? She had no idea. Another customer in line said I could on the APP, so I left the store with an empty card. I get home and try to 'register' the card online. NOPE. Apparently I had to put money on the card first at the store to ACTIVATE it. :headache: Why the 2 cashiers I asked didn't know that is beyond frustrating. I also installed the Starbucks APP and tried registering it on there but of course same deal.

So I'm kinda kicking myself for not putting at least $5 on the stupid card while I was at the store to activate it (cause I live 45kms away from the closest store and rarely go into the BIG CITY except for appts.)
