Star Wars Weekends!!!!

WooHoo!!! I just saw that they will be doing Star Wars weekends while we are there! Has anyone been to those before? My Dh and kids love Star Wars!

Yes and it looks like we will have split weekends this trip as well.

They are great but crowded at MGM at that time . So give time just for the SWW stuff and then hit the park during the week to do all the regular stuff.

Best is watching the Stormtroopers walk on top of the entrance buildings hollering down at people to move it .It just sets the tone for the day.

We were there last year for opening day (it was a Friday in May).
DH & DS8 went off to meet the characters.
DD & I headed straight to the line to wait in for the SSW merchandise.
We spent 2 hours in line but did get a Darth Goofy & some other SWW stuff like a nice pin for DS.

We were finished at the souvenir area just before the parade began, so we were lucky we got to see it.

We left the park at lunchtime.. DS8 had met all the characters & gotten the autographs.

You will have so much fun!!

We will miss it this year. We're going again in May but no SSW then.

Yeah, we're a little bummed because we planned our trip for May hoping to be there for SWW. I wish they wouldn't wait so long to announce the dates, because it makes it a little hard to plan ahead! Oh well, at least we got to see Darth and one Storm Trooper on our last trip (see pic in siggy).
