Wasn't sure where to post this - When do they put out the schedules for the Star Wars Weekend and the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot. My daughter and I are planning to go down May 17 - May 22 and should be able to hit both events. Do they have schedules for events posted any where on line? Thanks for your help.

You could check the park hours pages on TheDIS, get a subscription to TouringPlans.com or search the various Disney podcasts sites. No place has any info on any possible guests yet.

But the direct answer is SWW runs every Friday to Sunday between May 18 and June 10, 2012. F&G runs from March 7 to May 20, 2012 (But concerts are only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).

If you're looking more specific daily schedules for SWW, you can probably go by past years schedules - it hasn't varied much, and it ends at 7pm with the Hyperspace Hoopla.

As for specific guests, that will come later...

 I am so excited. I just booked a surprise trip for DD19 to go in June. We are both Star Wars fans. I was just checking what is happening and just came across the SWW. We will be there for the last weekend. Is it difficult to get into the park on those weekends? Anyone have experience and/or tips to share?

:woohoo:

I have been to Star Wars weekends some time ago and it is really fun. Especially if you are a big Star Wars fan. There are costumed characters walking around that you can EASILY take pictures with. Unfortunately, I am not that into it. However, I am taking my DH and my mother this year and he is a HUGE fan. We will be at Hollywood Studios of opening day of Star Wars weekend, so this should definately be interesting. Check out the Star Wars website or the blogs on Disney for more info.

It is not difficult to get in to the park...it will be more crowded than usual for the season, with most of that crowd focused on the SWW-specific locations, generally on the left side of the park centered around Star Tours and the Streets of America.

There will be characters located in various locations for meet and greets. They rotate them out somewhat frequently - do not be surprised if the the character you got in line for is not the one you end up meeting. But the handlers are usually good at letting you know who will be next, how long, etc. It took a couple tries for DD to get her pic with Ahsoka, and on the second time we stepped aside and let others pass until Ahsoka returned.

There are also free-roaming characters you can take pics with - but they also stay in character in general, so some of those nasty bounty hunters can be a bit of a pain... :) (I actually saw a kid cry when he tried to get Aurra's signature, but she just stared menacingly...)

The hyperspace hoopla is not to be missed! Hopefully it is being done at the center stage in front of the hat again this year. Past years it was done on the JTA stage - and it was far, far too crowded and people kept trying to get in front of other people for better viewing.

The talk sessions in the theater can be pretty interesting, depending on who the guest is. There are two - one for the primary guests that weekend, and one for the behind the scenes stuff, usually about The Clone Wars (hosted by Ashley Eckstein, who is the voice of Ahsoka).

If James Arnold Taylor does his one man show again, I'd catch that - his voices are amazing!

If you want to do a meet and greet with a primary guest, you REALLY need to get to the park EARLY. Not sure what the times are in particular these days, but lines will form for each to get "fastpasses" with particular meet times. You'll need to pick one to get first, and then get in line again for another, etc.
