Star Wars Weekend Tips 2012

I'm planning on leaving with DH as soon as he gets back from his night shift tonight. Hoping I get a FP to see Ray Park before I have to leave for work!! My goal is to meet him and Chewbacca and snag some AP merchandise in 4.5 hours. Here's hoping!

We don't want FP's for autographs (just not that into it and would rather leave it for some one who is), but would like to get the boys in JTA and the mind challenge.

Sign Ups: I know at Park Opening we head to sounds dangerous to sign them up. With the boys there right? Where do we sign up for the Challenge?

Parade: We would like to see the parade. When do we start claiming seats and where do you recommend?

Characters: We would like to see Chewie and Jedi Mickey, etc. No FP's for this right, just good old stand and wait? And suggestions like do this first?

I think he comes out around 9:30. His line will be long, so there probably won't be time to see Jedi Mickey and get a prime parade spot (those go REAL early, especially now that the route is so short). Jedi Mickey rotates with Leia Minne and Darth Goofy/Stormtrooper Donald so you really won't know which character you are going to get until you get closer to the front. They rotate every 15-20 minutes. The CMs will not let you get to the front and let people pass you as you wait for your preferred character. This is another LONG line that we have waited in close to 90-120 minutes just to see them all.

No they are in separate locations. The child you are signing up MUST be with you for Jedi Training Academy. Scroll back a few pages on this thread to see the locations since my blonde memory is NOT co-operating with me at the moment

Which reminds me...don't forget your mister fans, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottles. I usually get a cup of free ice water or just ice at the Prime Time 50's bar or the Backlot. My Iphone charger. I charge up my phone using the wall outlets at the One Man's Dream sitting on the floor waiting to go into the theatre. I'm also looking foward to those Mickey Mouse ice cream, yum!

One of our local Garrison guys moved to South Beach and will be marching tomorrow and Saturday. I wish I could be there to give him a hearty cheer, but, travel plans were made almost a year ago. When my costume is done, it will be, probably, my greatest project - I will be sewing the officer's jacket myself.

As they did last year, Donald, Daisy, Minnie, Goofy and the gang will NOT meet outside at the Sorcerer’s Hat in the moring hours during Star Wars Weekends. Instead, they will meet inside the Animation building from 8:30 until 11:30 am Friday-Saturday until Star Wars Weekends concludes.

Question - Are these Star Wars characters or regular characters?
