Got back late Monday night from WDW, from our first SWW! It was great and I'll post a report later. But, I know there are people who've been waiting for details about the events and I brought the info sheet home with me. I owuld imagine each weekend will be the same, aside from the featured guest stars:

STAR WARS WEEKENDS
Live tha dventure at Star Wars Weekends, a celebration that will transport you to a galaxy far, far away.

APPEARING THIS WEEKEND:
Star Wars Characters
(Star Tours and Mickey Avenue)
Meet a galaxy of your favorite Star Wars characters!.......9:00am - 6:30 pm

****Next would be listed the 2 Star Wars celebrities for the individual W/E--our's were John Goodson, Concept Model Maker and Daniel Logan, who played young Boba Fett---very friendly, kind guy!*****

Disney's FASTPASS
FASTPASS tickets are required to receive an autograph. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all the FASTPASS tickets are distributed for a particular actor, a limited number of standby tickets will be made available. Standby tickets do not guarantee an autograph. Standby ticket hlders will be taken if there is time remaining in a session after all the FASTPASS ticket holders have received their autographs. Based on availability, you will have the opportunity to get one FASTPASS and one standby ticket per celebrity. FASTPASS tickets will be distributed at Star Tours. ***NOTE: We got there Friday am at about 8:55 and were able to get the last FASTPASS tickets of the whole day for Daniel Logan. People behind us were already only able to get the standy tickets.*****

TIMES AND EVENTS

Legends of the Force: A Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade
(Hollywood Blvd.)
Our visiting celebrities, along with the most beloved Star Wars characters, celebrate the entire Star Wars saga with a grand motorcade. Following the motorcade, welcome our two Star Wars celebrities and capture a one-of-a-kind photo moment featuring all the Star Wars characters and our two visiting celebrities................................11:15 am
Celebrity Welcome at the Star Tours Stage at 11:30 am
***NOTE: As someone else mentioned, I was surprised at how small the parade was and the lack of characters---saw CMs as Luke and Leia posing for photos, but they weren't in the parade...no Han Solo, etc.****

Okay, I have to run for now and I'll post the other side of the sheet later today!

Han is there, but it's not Harrison Ford

lmao! :rotfl: I'd croak on the spot if I ever met Harrison Ford.. a Character Actor as Han will do though! Good to know, he was awol when I went last year! :goodvibes

We are headed down 6/4 and I am not sure if we are going to go to on Sund 6/5 or Fri or Sat 6/10 or 6/11. Is there any particular weekend day that is better to go? My 10 year old son is really into Star Wars. ALso, did you notice how they picked the children for the "Jedi training school"? Thanks.

Lisa :)

Do you know if the rest of MGM was packed during SWW or is it mainly the SW area?

Thanks!

Is the Star Wars motorcade in addition to the one at 5:30 and what time is it at during the day.

Wow at the questions! lol

Lets see what I know from years past and someone else can correct me if I am wrong.

Friday is the least crowded day (with people working), but we always go Friday and Sunday. The fast pass machine for autographs (which is ONLY for the real life actors - not the characters in costume) is down the street by WWTBAM. The Star Wars parade is a separate parade. Luke and Leia used to always be in the Stars and Cars parade later as well as r2 and Darth Vader walking near the car, but its just a small portion of the later parade.

Our first trip into Star Wars weekend we headed right (towards Bear and Little Mermaid) and you would have NEVER known it was going on until you either go further down towards the place where MIckey always is (Jedi Mickey during SWW) or over towards Star Tours. My first thought when we were there last time was "this is it?" and then we walked around the corner and I was blown away!

Just a few corrections. Friday was very busy! I don't know where all the people came from but it was crazy! The fast pass machines for autgraphs is right at Star Tours (under the Ewok Village) where the line for the ride can be. I waited for about 45 minutes for 1 fastpass for Daniel Logan. I got the second session. There was a 3 hour wait to get into the store to buy the limited edition merchandise and my mother waited for 30 minutes at the kiosk near the stage to buy a t-shirt and a Jedi Mickey. It was better Sunday night but still very busy.

sorry - last year the autographs were over by the back lot tour - so the fast pass machine was in a different place...I wonder if this is adding to the mess?

Also, people have said you can ride the ride and get into the store if the wait for the ride is short. Hope that holds true for when we get down there!

Yes, you can ride the ride and then get into the store. I did this twice and Star Tours is not my favorite ride anymore. Once per trip is enough. There was still a huge line inside to purchase anything and you could not purchase the limited edition merchandise without standing in the very long line outside. My awesome dad stood in this line for me and then I talked a CM into letting me go in the store to meet him (I told him I was bringing my dad water since he was in line in the heat for 2 hours- which was true). I then ran around the store grabbing a Darth Tater, a mug and a few other things which he purchased along with the limited edition pins, coin and Darth Mickey. At one point, I understand that people coming off Star Tours were ushered straight through the store and were not permitted to shop. I hope other weekends are not that bad. I was really disapointed with it this year. :guilty:

It's really packed around Star Tours. The rest of the park is fairly "normal" and not close to as congested.
