Does anyone know exactly when the Star Wars Weekends will begin this coming May? I know in 2004 it started on the 14th. Thanks, Donna

I think no one is really sure since a Star Wars movie is being released this year, so they dates might be different than past years.

Last year they extended Star Wars Weekend through the first weekend of June. Haven't see the schedule for this year.

That website doesn't even have info from 2004! The last update was in 2003, so I doubt they will provide any current info about SWW!

Usually starwars.com will have something around mid-February. Last year it was on 2/23. This just really gave the dates and some minor events that will happen. The actual guest list came out 4/2. Disney isn't too forthcoming about the information on dates and such. I really wish that they would just come out with those so we could start planning the weekend and then I can relax until I have to stalk the movie theater for tickets.

I just want everyone to know when a Star Wars film has been released, 1999, 2002, there were no Star Wars Weekends at the Studios. The Star Wars Fan CLub and Lucasfilms sponsor a huge convention in Indianapolis and this year it is Apr 2005. From what I remember they do have some extra characters and stuff but not the full blown Star Wars Weekend with events, actors, etc. But it could be different this year. Just wanted everyone to know and be prepared just in case it doesn't happen.

Great! That was one of the reasons we decided to go in May this year! Oh well, we'll wait and see!

We were at WDW during SWW last June. It was cute but I would not make a special trip back to WDW just for the weekend. If the latest movie is as disappointing as the last two movies, only the hard core star wars fanactics will care.

hmmmm - I went to SWW last year and had a FANTASTIC time. My two sons and I went on Friday and skipped going to the MK on Sunday so that we could take dad back with us on Sunday instead. They LOVED it. I LOVED it. Characters everywhere, walking around, the parade was cool, the Jedi training was a blast (those kids fighting D.V. and D. Maul was soooo into it!!!), everything about it felt special to me.

I have heard this too about the fact that in years past here was no SWW the years movies came out, but it IS already on the WDW website, just with no dates yet. As you can see from the link, they did update it to say May and June, 2005 and if it was NOT going to be there, I would have hoped they would have just dropped it from the site for a year. Who knows. Star Wars Weekend
