Star Wars W/ends At Studios...

I just read about the STAR WARS W/ENDS at Disney Studios in May/June. We are planning a possible trip to WDW end of May.

Anyone experienced it in the past? How is it?

Was there is 2001 and loved it! DH is a SW freak - I like SW too, but not quite to his level. We did a quick weekend trip for it.

There's lot of SW characters around for photos - we got pix of DH with Darth Maul, Queen Amildala, Princess Leia, Han and Chewie, the Emporer and Imperial Guards. We missed Luke somehow. 3po and R2 are around just as a backdrop.

There's also a Mos Eisley Cantina evening parade/event - we didn't stay for that, but it sounded cool.

There was also SW trivia - the top winner got park hopper passes - there were consolation prizes for the other participants - I made it through the 4th round - and it went 2 more rounds to get the winner.

We also watched the Obi Wanna be for little kids. They got to "train" as a Jedi with a litghtsaber and be tested against Darth Vader when he comes to see if any of the apprentices want to join the dark side. DS is a lightsaber fanatic - Vader hasn't a prayerif we get him into the Obi Wanna Be

We can't wait to go again! Now I just am hoping that airfare comes down so we don't have a major hole inthe pocketbook.

It's alot of fun for fans of Star Wars and those who aren't so much so. I haven't been to one but from what I hear, it's got a great atmosphere.

I was there in 2001 it was great! The storm troopers at the front of MGM are awesome! We got lots of pictures with Star Wars characters. There was a preview for Episode II when we were there so maybe there will be one for Episode III.

It's really only a little more crowded over by Star Tours. Yeah, Fastpassing is a key, I think for Star Tours, but the rest of the park was normal when we were there in 2001.

Thanks for the commentaries! I sure hope we get to go. My DS is pretty good with a lightsabre, too, and I know he'd be thrilled to see all the characters (so would I). How do the little ones get chosen to "train" as a Jedi for the Obi Wannabes? How many do they choose?

I was wondering about crowds, too......
