A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
Not really. BUT a few weeks ago (early March) I decided to book a last minute (for us) surprise trip to WDW for my husband and I! WHAT. I'm still in shock that it's really happening!
Long story short, things have been absolutely insane for the last two years really, between moving three times, no jobs, too many jobs, living with family, fertility issues, etc. Some days we're hanging on by a thread and with like $8 but the Lord has seen us through and we're still alive and kicking! We're pretty responsible and frugal and go without so our kids can have, the standard life of a ministry family.
Our Disney habit has been happily plugging along through an every-other year family reunion trip with my husband's family, that his grandparents insist on paying for 95% of. We are SO so thankful to have been able to go so often, more than some would ever dream of going, but this trip is a little different. My husband and I have been together for 8 years (whoo-hoo!) and haven't had a honeymoon or alone trip away, at all, so we desperately need some adult time together - and even more so with how insane the last year has been! (note - I'm not complaining, I know adult time is hard to come by, I know we chose to have children so we're stuck with them, I know that some would love to take their kids to Disney even once, let alone dream of a trip without them. we're all different, please be kind.) 
ANYWAY, (man, I ramble a lot, huh?!) May brings us our 8 year anniversary, plus his birthday, and the availability of an overnight babysitter! Dreams Come True!
The icing on the cake is all the new Star Wars experiences and River of Life - we're huge SW fans and for some reason, my husband thinks Animal Kingdom is the best park? So he's happy, I'm happy and bonus, if everything goes well I'll be able to suprise him with anything for the first time in nearly a decade.
I was thinking one night how I'd really like to surprise him, and while we've always dreamed of an adults-only, late-honeymoon, we don't have to eat at Hollywood-and-Vine trip, I didn't even think it was possible.
