In for the 10K and my girls (2 and 4) are in the for the kids races! Now I am worried I ordered the wrong size shirts for them. Anyone know how the sizing usually goes for the shirts (kids and adults). I would hate to get something too small for the girls (or me :), but don't want us swimming in them either. They tend to run a size up in shirts, but with the race still being so far off and they grow like crazy at this age, I was torn about sizing. Are you able to change the sizes at all after registration or at packet pickup? Or am I stuck with what I ordered today? Any help is appreciated :)...Always have to worry about something, right??

I am actually worried about the same thing! Hope someone knows the answer!

I'm registered for the 10k and DF is signed up for the Rebel Challenge! Hooray!

I'm ridiculously excited about this. It's tough to remind myself that the race isn't until next Janaury!

I feel you on that one, we are excited too. Wish it was sooner. The good thing is that me and the wife have the Disneyland Half coming up in a few months to tide us over

I'm signed up for the Rebel Challenge and the 5K. I couldn't say know to all the bling. 71 race miles in eleven days? What have I done?

I had already registered for the dopey and the rebel challenge, but you inspired me to go back and add the Star Wars 5K! My plan is to hold back and save my energy for the last half-marathon and try to be the first person to get the coast-to-coast medal in 2015 ;-)

Wow! I bow down to you! I can't even imagine doing that.

We're neighbors by the way. I grew up in Troy, MI and live in Berkley now.

I told myself that I would never do another half in January with having to train in December in Michigan, but here I am doing the Rebel Challenge :rotfl:

Howdy neighbor!

It's that extra 3.1 miles that'll getcha! :banana::banana:

Which airline or credit card do you both use to get frequent flier miles? I'd like to start accruing them but I'm not sure of the best way to go about it. I live in the bay area so the 5-7 hour drive is becoming tiresome.:car:

I use the Rapid Reward points for Southwest, b/c I'vefoind it's the cheapest getting down to DL. I have my Best Western points set to SWA and if you use Super Shuttle you can get points for them too. One other thing I do, mostly b/c it's just me going down for the races, I'll pay for one leg and points for the other 1/2, unless it's really cheap. That way I can stretch it put a bit, especially when the sales pop up. Like right now, when I go in Oct to pick up an AP, it's $59 and for Avengers it's $71 so paid for one way and points on the way back and it's still cheaper than gas each trip. Plus, it's so much easier and you get to DL faster! :goodvibes

They have a booth next to t-shirt pick up to exchange ifs hurts are the wrong size. At least they have for Tink and DL.

Even from the other side of the country this is usually my game plan, one way pay cash the other way pay with points. I love it when Choice Hotel points turn into Rapid Reward points. I also have a SouthWest Chase card that adds to my point balance rather quickly. As a matter of fact I just booked the flight home from Avengers Weekend with Rapid Reward Points this morning!!!

You can always change sizes at the expo, there should be a separate table for people to exchange sizes.

Also posted this on the WISH board:

DW and I are registered for the Rebel Challenge. Also signed up for the random draw for the Nike Women's Half Marathon today. If we get selected for this one, that will make 5 races in 5 months! And we are still considering the possibility of doing the Princess Half in Feb.

Disneyland Half
Tower of Terror 10 Miler
Nike Women's (TBD)
Avengers Half
Rebel Challenge
Princess Half (TBD)

It's official I registered for the Rebel Challenge and 5K this morning.

Good to know about Choice, I'll have to find my card and link them up too! I booked Avengers yesterday! :rotfl2: Really want to stay longer Sunday, but leaving right after the race w/ hopes of a 18-20 miler Mon morning as 1st practice Dopey.

Glad to see quite a few of us got in! I'll update the OP later tonight after work.

And I totally forgot about the pins. Thankfully doing that separately saves time on registration I suppose. But I like getting them at the Expo because of discounts!!

Thanks so much for the info about shirt exchange. Hopefully I won't have a problem exchanging stuff if we are not at the expo the first day. I haven't figured out our travel plans yet. Anyone know how fast everything sold out (except the half- it looks like it is still open). Just curious :). Does anyone know what the kids races Mickey ears look like?

:yay: Signed up for both the Rebel Challenge and the 5k :yay:

At this point I wish I could just buy a runDisney AP for all the DL races and avoid the sign up anxiety. I did the Neverland 5k in January, I'm doing the DL10k in August, the Avengers half in November, and now all 3 Star Wars races in January.

I've been running 2-4 5k+ training runs a week with 1 of those being over 10k but I still worry about the halves. My longest run in still 9.5 miles. 6 more months to get there.

He did that to me too!!! Hahah you're such an inspiration Todd :cheer2: I thought wow if he can get do that many races at two different parks then I can do 3 races at 1 park and with AP registration open and it will sell out any time soon I bought the 5k after I only set out to do the Rebel challenge.:rotfl2:

Oh, thanks to you both! I've actually booked a hotel twice that said it used Choice Privilege points but I thought it was a scam! Oh well, now I know to start having my hotels count for Choice points! I'll have to look into Rapid Rewards :) I use my Disney Visa as my main CC and I've racked up a good amount of points to be used as gift cards on my trip so I guess it sort of evens out if I don't have an airline specific CC.

Initially booked the Annabella for Star Wars weekend bc I heard great reviews and that their fourth night free promo was good but then after I read that they charge $15 a night for parking I decided to cancel and book at Quality Inn at the Park (where I went for Tink) which suited my purposes just fine for walking to the start line. On top of that I will be getting to stay an extra night 4 instead of 3 and not have to pay extra parking and get the suite and it will come up to be the same price! I know definitely not Disneyland Hotel but I haven't gotten up to saving for a 4 night stay there yet. :upsidedow

I'm registered for the Rebel Challenge and the 5K. This is going to be so much fun!

So what does everyone think about the Wookie Welcome Party??? Anybody thinking of doing it? I'm a bit concerned that it's Thursday night 9:30-11:30 aaaannnnddd then we have to be up for the 5k Friday morning at 5:30a. Kind of like they don't want you to do both....or don't want you to sleep LOL :)

It's also a little on the pricey side at $99/person. Wonder if it's worth it? Dessert and character photo ops for only 2 hours for $99 - hmmm.

At WDW Marathon Weekend we splurged for the Family Reunion Breakfast. I think it was in the $60/person range. It was a full hot breakfast, in a tent, in the Epcot parking lot :) There was one character op - but it was fairly cool. They had about 6 monsters from Monsters Inc and a little photo area that had the scream collector machines. Not sure I'd pony up for that event again though. We've never done the Pasta Party events.

Soooo - what does everyone think about the Wookie Welcome party?
