Resort Thread STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

Why’s it only 2 nights?
Full time immersion is exhausting. I’ve already read people coming off the ‘voyage’ have been shattered.
Any more would be too much.
It’s no sit back and relax experience..
Shattered? What review is this from ?

Been watching a bunch of videos from actual guests. This is something I originally was dead set on at the original rumored price point of $3200…which was still steep but for a unique experience I could share with my daughter would be worth it. We’re out of state APs so figured we’d do the GS experience then roll that into 5 nights at a moderate. The $5k price tag is completely absurd and this is coming from a SW/Disney fanatic who makes well into 6 figures. For reference I just replaced the large shed in my backyard, had every closet door in my house replaced (custom made doors with molding) and repainted both bathrooms and my daughters room for less money.

I hope everyone that goes has an amazing experience and I’m definitely not ruling this out as an experience but at some point I think they make the dinner portion an adr like hoop Dee do review then bring offworlders aboard for day 2 experience for a price. I’m a frustrated parks fan with the recent price gauging.

I looked at dates and there’s a ton of availability for this month and the following 2 months. Disney is absolutely overcrowded and despite the soaring cost of their hotels there’s still limited availability. For this to be so wide open speaks volumes.

To anyone who has completed a voyage - are there penny press and luggage tag machines available at the resort?

WDW news stayed in one and did this video.
Looks like the living room has a sofa and a pull out.

Yes, I saw that and it appears the second bed is in the living room - I wish they had pulled it out to confirm. I’m sure as more people stay there we will get more details. Thanks for posting!

He does right at the end of the video.

Is there a link to a map where the Galactic Starcruiser will be located on property? Where is the Launch pod?

He said that the orange case with the themed snacks was just because he was media or a first cruise, but I wonder if those are the Star Wars "extras" for suites guests that were mentioned in the marketing material. There didn't seem to be anything else besides that in the room that would count as an extra. I'm somebody who gladly shelled out for a 1-bedroom suite on my one and only DCL cruise because we had three sea days and I know we would be happy with the extra space, but I can't really see justifying it here when you're on the go doing missions almost the entire time.

But with the Star Wars fan community, you are much more likely to get a friend group going to Galatic Starcruiser than compared to a Disney cruise. I could defiantly see the appeal of suites for a friend group, if when they were pricing it up, the suite worked out cheaper than two rooms.

Prior to October-December opening up on Friday all of March-May was booked up. The phone lines are also slammed. I’m guessing a lot of people are deciding to move their trips to later windows.

Also it’s now open internationally for booking, at least it is for the UK as of yesterday.

Are you allowed to modify your dates after 90 days? I didn’t think so.
