Star Wars Fireworks probability this summer?

1. Not to worry.
2. Of course.
3. Dozens.

The "largest" concern, you didn't mention...
It's the far-too-small prime viewing area.

I'm assuming this is one that you want to use FP+ or a dining package for? Or are those even options?

Just to clarify, the projections aren't on the stage screen, they're on the Chinese Theater itself and a couple of buildings and screens to its left and right. So while it's limited viewing, it's not *quite* as limited as if it were just on the one screen at the stage.

Oh ok, so it's like the projections on the castle. I just took a peek at a couple of images. That doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be with them being on the stage screen.

Just a tip, in case you haven't seen them...don't think of them as SW FW, you'll be disappointed. Think of it was a projection show with occasional pyrotechnical aspects and it will be enjoyable. After seeing the actual SW firework show last May then SWAGS in January it was quite the let down.

Right the viewing area is a major concern. My son is only going to be 2 1/2 so we don't want to be right up there. Prefer to stand back just so he can see a little show but near the exit so we can bolt without swimming through the crowd. That's not going to happen in HS...

Ahhhh that does clarify. Makes a little more sense, but the theater does not have the forced perspective of the castle in MK so it's not the kind of thing where if you are standing by the exit you can have a nice show (I am assuming). Thanks for the info.

My family is very excited about being able to experience this show this summer. Huge Star Wars fans here! Is the show generally shown nightly or only on select nights? Just trying to plan. Thanks!

If you "stand back" you get no screens at all.
I'm talking about if you are standing just about anywhere 50 feet up Hollywood Blvd., the street.
Virtually nothing (except the fireworks... which are nice, but not nearly as spectacular
as the Star Wars fireworks in the previous show -from last year.)
The prime area of the current show is very poorly designed and tragically limited.
About the worst design for crowds trying to view an evening spectacular ever by Disney.

Never mind.

Selected nights, now.
They certainly can make it nightly.
But, you never know.
Actually it's been on every night since December 16th. The current schedule is out until July 31st. Check the official SW Thread for updates (link in my signature)

So, do we think that it will continue to be nightly? Or be cut back to a few nights a week like last Autumn? We go in October.

As a family, we've seen many nighttime shows at DisneyWorld. SWAGS is right up there with the best of them for us. Grab a spot early and you should be fine. We watched it last fall and it was awesome. My boys still talk about "the trees around us breathing". However, we are huge Star Wars fans so that may skew our opinion greatly.

"never Mind" the show??? :rotfl2: Maybe! Lol. Yea it depends on crowds.

Maybe watch one of the many videos out there to see if its something your family might like rather than just saying no. I had a friend that took his Star Wars obsessed 3 year old and they said it was the best thing they did all week.

My 2 1/2 year old saw the march of the first order and is now marching around the house and is asking "Bye Bye" "Disney" :rotfl2: We start them young around here!

I feel pretty stupid asking this...which show did I see last summer, last week in August? Was is SWAGS?

I agree. My daughter and I saw it last April and it was mostly fireworks....then in Oct. with my son it was mostly projection.

Symphony in the Stars (the old fireworks show) ended on June 15th of last year so you likely saw Star Wars: a Galactic Spectacular.

So how early do you need to grab a spot in the green area of Robo's map? We'll be there in mid-July.
