I'm so excited about Star Wars weekend!!!! I love Wicket! He's my favorite character!

We're getting married at WDW June 4th (Friday) and will at the World for another 10 days following the wedding. We're definitely going to be hitting up SWW the day after the wedding. We're both huge star wars fans. The tables at the wedding are named after the planets from Star Wars and we're entering the reception to the song from Episode IV at the medal ceremony. EEK! So excited!

What days are you going? I'm May18th-28th, 1st full weekend and Fri. on the 2nd for more autographs!

We are going the first day SWW opens. I know it will be NUTS but DS4 is going to love seeing all of the people dressed up sooo much that it will be worth it! We managed a Brown Derby ressie, so hopefully that will help us with Fantasmic seating. If anyone else is going that day- look for us in our Yoda tie dye and say hello!!

Can anyone tell me where the characters (Jedi Mickey etc) are located and how wait for them works? Is it like a normal meet and greet? We have been to Disney many times, but never SWW!

Is it like a normal meet and greet? Yes, the Disney Characters as Star Wars Charaters are standard style Meet-n-Greets. We have been to Disney many times, but never SWW!

Feel free to ask any other Questions here or you can PM me.:wizard:

Thank you so so much! I was worried I would have to get a fast pass for a meet and greet (like with a Disney character)! So I am glad to hear it is regular style. We are prepared to wait wait wait- just want to make sure we don't miss it! I will PM ya if I think of anything else!!

This is from last years Star Wars Map!
This Covers Celebrity Actor Autographs Only!
Autograph Sessions using Disney's FASTPASS

Disney's FASTPASS Service will be utilized for all Autograph Sessions

* YourTheme Park admission ticket allows you to receive a FASTPASS ticket. Limited number avaible.
* Just pick up your FASTPASS ticket with a designated autograph return time. Now you are free to experience other Star Wars Weekends activities.
* At your designated time, return to the autograph location, where you will have little or no wait for your autograph.
* FASTPASS tickets are based on limited availability and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
* Each guest must be present to receive a FASTPASS ticket. You may not get tickets for other members of your party.

You must have a FASTPASS ticket to receive an autograph.

* Once the FASTPASS tickets for an Actor are distributed, we will distribute a limited number of "stand-by" tickets with a return time. Based on availability, you will have the opportunity to get one FASTPASS or one stand-by ticket per Actor. Due to the limited availablity of tickets, once you have received a FASTPASS for an Actor, you will not be eligible to get a stand-by ticket far that actor.
* "Stand-by" tickets do not guarantee you an autograph.

FASTPASS for autograps will be distributed outside the Disney's Hollywood Studios Main Entrance to the right of the turnstiles. Distribution may begin prior to park opening based on demand.

******Last year I was able to get passes for all 3 Actors, the last one was a "stand-by". The stand-by ticket lets you get a "last in line" shot at any of the autograph sessions. I went to the first session with my "stand-by" ticket and got my Autograph!:woohoo:
Also for each autograph session the FASTPASS tickets are broken up in sections, so you can arrive about 5 mintues before the time on your ticket and you will get in with your time group.
If there is a popular Celebrity the line will form early, as in THE NIGHT BEFORE!

I've been there for Star Wars weekends...wore a Star Wars t-shirt but never fully dressed up.

However...Star Wars Celebration is in Orlando this August! We will be going to that (and dressing up!) and doing a day at Disney as well :)

Looking for advice. This is a last minute trip just for a SWW. I can't wait. I Have a houseful of star wars nuts. The top priority is the characters. Is there a better order to do them in, we plan on getting there for rope drop so I'm thinking Jedi Mickey is probably the first stop. Do the characters start right away or not until later? As you can see I have an awful lot of little people in tow so I'm hoping for any suggestions.

Going to Celebration 5. From my experience last year, it's busy. What I did last year worked out well for me though, so here's what I did. I was going to go to the autograph signing but was getting too frazzled trying to find the line (before rope drop) so I just decided to not fluster myself on vacation and just enjoy my day. I went over to Star Tours and grabbed a FP, went on Muppet Vision 3-D, ate at Pizza Planet, played a few games at Pizza Planet, then headed back to the ride. It was almost an hour wait w/o a fastpast, and 10 minutes with. I got off, wasn't interested in the activity going on on stage( they were trying to keep the crowd entertained while waiting for the next event to start) so I got back in line and rode it again(the line cut down significantly). I walked around after that, walked up to the stage to watch a few funny events with some of the costumed characters. I went into the shop, and for the 4th weekend, the line was still long, even though most of what was left was available at the Star Tours shop. There was a cool Han Solo in carbonite statue, so I got a pic of my boyfriend there.
I will warn you now, all the lines for the characters were LONG. I saw a line for somebody dressed as Vader that was over 80 people long! and it wasn't even a special Vader, just Vader. It was fun watching the Stormtroopers walking through HS in full character, seeing people get chased by the Sandpeople.
So my conclusion is, even if you don't get to do ANY of the things you planned on doing, you will still have some great memories. Oh and I got a picture with a character that had no line that made my internal 5 year-old squeal-Baloo.
Dunno if this helps at all, but I thought I'd share.

Going to Celebration 5.

We're doing the same thing. :) Of course, we're staying at BWV for C5 and renting a car to go to the convention center. Star Wars all day and Epcot at night, I am a happy camper! :goodvibes I hate to miss SWW this year, but C5 will be incredible. Another note of caution, last year at SWW the lines for the exclusive pins and merchandise at the special "store" were out of control. We waited for 3 hours. However, there were special fast passes for the store as well, and we talked to someone who had gotten in line at 5am to get those.
