Star Wars Episode VIII Title

So is that Luke or Rey. Also, couldn't they have come up with something a bit less tired?

I was just going to post this! I am so excited. I think it's referring to either Luke being the last Jedi before training Rey or he is going to die in this movie. Pretty dark title honestly, looking forward to it and the first teaser trailer.

I find the title really interesting - especially with it being episode VIII when we know there will be an episode IX. Also, it is "The Last Jedi" not "The Last of the Jedi"

My guess is they position it that Luke is the Last Jedi - that being the last of that type of Jedi, of them being the Force Warriors (for lack of a better term) and Rey is the evolution of them ... they've hinted at other people in the Star Wars universe being Force sensitive but not a Jedi/Sith

Personally I think it makes for great conversation, so for that reason alone it is a great title.

So, i'm wondering if Disney is going to do another premiere for this movie like they did in 2015 for The Force Awakens at Hollywood Studios. I believe it was around this time last year when they announced it. Anyone happen to have any info about that?

I'm more concerned if the movie is gonna suck or not...not whether I can pay $250 to go watch it with cupcakes...but that's just me.

I don't know if they will, but I'm going to be at Coronado Springs on that date like I was in 2015 for TFA, I hope I'm not woken up at 1 or 2am to what sounds like the resort being shelled again. That was loud.

No one knows right now. There were plans to do one for Rogue One and then they didn't end up doing it.

$250
It surprisingly was only $100 a person for that after hours event and very well worth it. I'm taking a guess it will be around the $250 mark.

I never saw anything about the Rogue One because it technically wasn't done by Disney. This movie being made by Disney leads me to believe that they will do the event with the red carpet out again.

There were plans for one though. The info was up on the Hub (CM website) but they never went through with it. Of course Disney is going to promote the heck out of this movie but who knows what will actually happen at this point. We are still 11 months away.

Which was point #2 of my inference...

#2 it's a little early isn't it?
#1 stop asking to be charged for upsells...thanks a bunches

It's not a bad title. I'm not too worried about the title so long as it's a good movie. All the titles kind of read like old wartime newspaper headlines.

It is fun to speculate if there is any hidden meaning in the title, but I wouldn't read too much into it. I'll spoil it for you guys: it's luke.
