Recent article in Variety regarding Rasulo's comments regarding the spinoffs and other "Star Wars" stuff:

I posted that earlier today. I was more referring to the rumors from entertainment and fan websites and blogs.

There was a video upvoted onto reddit a couple weeks ago, it was of Mark Hamill doing the Joker's Batman Eulogy from Celebration 6. Although it was from 2012, Hamill does need to get in some shape to play Luke again, but his voice acting and facial/body expressions show that he should pull off a great older Jedi.

Speaking of Batman...Bane (as in Darth Bane) could be a villain that they could bring in in these sequels without bringing someone like Palpatine, Maul or Vader back in. His backstory could easily open up spinoffs and other story lines without changing too much of the EU or current canon.
