Star Wars day at sea vs marvel day at sea

How do you compare Star Wars day at sea to marvel day at sea and which do you like better?

From all the research I have done, it seems as though it depends primarily on 2 things: "Do you like Marvel or Star Wars better" and "Do you want a 5 night or a 7 night sailing" if the love of both overlaps.

The time of year is basically the same. I have friends who rave about the Marvel Deck Party/show and fireworks all the time. I haven't heard much about the Star Wars ones.

I’m a much bigger Star Wars than Marvel fan. I enjoyed MDaS much more than SWDaS. Especially the character M&Gs and the nighttime deck/fireworks show. But YMMV.

We did SWDAS in 2017 and MDAS in 2019 (just before the shutdown).

SWDAS features more guests in costumes. There were a lot of guests dressed up from midday to late evening. The theme is used in the dining room, where the servers are dressed in imperial costumes.

For the rest of the activities, they are pretty similar both in nature and quantity. We had a preference for the Marvel M&G since they involved more interactions and we prefer the IP. The roaming characters from SW were more fun. The takeover of the ship by the Empire made the overall feel more integrated. The MDAS deck show is better.

I would pick the route (5 days out of Miami for MDAS - 7 days out of PC for SWDAS) and your favourite IP instead of focusing on the specific activities. Those could change the next time they sail anyway.
