Star Wars Characters at MGM?

I know that Darth Vader, Luke & Princess Lea (sp?) are in the Parade, but has anyone ever met any of them around Star Tours? DS (6) is now a huge Star Wars fan and we never paid attention to this last time around. Also, is there a store that sells stuff having to do with this ride?

One last silly question - is Darth Vader always on the same side during the parade? We have a blurry pic from our last visit and I'd like to get a better one this time around! And DS wants to see him up close this time. He did last time but he doesn't really remember, he was 3 at the time!

We missed the parade but we did see Darth and a couple of Storm Troopers outside the Star Tours ride!

The storm troopers and Vader were doing sets. But they were playing the characters far to well , like they should have been. They were being the actual characters and not some waterdown version. But people complained that the storm troopers while they were doing their jobs protecting vader weren't friendly and didn't want to shake their hands and high five and other stupid stuff like that. . And vader was scarey... bla bla bla ... and a whole lot of hoopty doo, went down because of some stupid people. So as of now they are down on sets. They have to go through disneyfacation training before they can go back out again.

We saw them on July 16th outside of Star Tours.

Thanks for the Info Mecha - DS11 is gonna be crushed that his dad got his pic with Vader in June and now Vader will be on 'vacation' when we go next week - I love it when the bad guys actually act "bad" & hope they will be out again soon!

Well that stinks! Where did you find out this info? Also, what does "down on sets mean?"

Hopefully the "training" will be over when we go in Nov. I'm not going to even mention to DS that they are there, I'd rather him be surprised than disappointed.

I know the villans in the parades are allowed to act like their characters, I wonder why there was a problem with these particular characters?

That's terrible that people don't understand how the characters are suppose to be!!! The Darth Vader I saw at Star Wars Weekend was AWESOME!! He played it up with the crowd perfectly, and had everyone laughing. Wonder why there is such a perceived difference with this other Vader? But I guess it was nice that Vader and the Stormtroopers were actually out on a non-Star Wars day!

I personaly thought it was great that vadar threw somebodys book back at them who forced it in his face. This was an adult not a kid with the book.

he dissed me when i told him he should sign my book cuz im a princess (i had a star tours badge on with princess on it) and he took it, look at it and tossed it over my shoulder my dad was having a field day with it lol
I have only seen the star wars characters out on star wars weekend so im not much help lol

We saw the characters the last week of June at the ride, right outside the gift shop area. I tried to get my 4 yr old grandson's picture with them but he was too afraid of them, maybe next year he'll be more a Star Wars fan.
