I have 5-year-old wearing a Luke Skywalker pilot costume for MNSSHP. Can he bring in the toy blaster into the party? I've asked this in the MNSSHP thread and haven't gotten an answer. And when I emailed to WDW, all I got was a copy and paste on costume guidelines. Please someone answer. We go in 12 days. Thanks in advance.

They cracked down on this starting last year. I do not think the toy guns would be allowed and they stopped selling all kinds of toy guns in the parks, including Star Wars blasters, pirate guns, even bubble guns if they were shaped like a gun (wands and such are still sold). A light saber is still okay though.

What is his character? If he is a Stormtrooper or something, maybe you could go with a baton or other non-gun weapon they are known to use.

I wouldn't take it. As the PP said, they stopped selling them in the park and there is language in the costume guidelines prohibiting anything that resembles a real weapon. Not worth the risk IMO.
