Star Wars 2019 ?

I have read that star wars is scheduled to open in 2019. But, I can't locate any specific time of year... trying to plan, does anyone have any idea of what time of year it will open? May be stupid question but thanks in advance!

That said, I would expect it to be fall, not spring. Based on recent precedent, and the shovels in the ground, it should take 40-45 months.

I would err on the later side or even beginning of 2020 if you want to be safe. Anything could come up between now and then...

If you want to plan around it, I would say later in the year. And planning with the hell bent intention of it being open would probably be a huge mistake (based on avatar land).

However, if the current cycles hold, Star Wars Episode 9 will come out in December of 2019. I suspect that there will be a big event around the last of the "original 9", that includes the opening of Star Wars Land, Re-imaging of DHS to Disney's Hollywood Adventure (or whatever they will call it), and the opening of the CBR/Gondola stuff.

The one saving grace, imho, about 2019 is I think Disney will be (is in) a hurry for star wars land, and even toy story land, as the studios is just so decimated. And You have a star wars movie and Toy Story 4 coming in 2019.

We just went, and they have a LONG way to go to finish SWL. I would maybe plan a trip in 2020 to be safe. As I am sure you know, they don't guarantee anything, and weather can delay a project a lot.
