Which Star Trek show do you enjoy most?

I voted for the Original but STTNG is a close second. I love the original crew, and Kirk is my favorite captain. The best thing about STTNG is there are more episodes.

I was at a Star Trek convention and got a kiss from James Doohan.

Firefly
Babylon 5
Battlestar Gallactica (new, not the original)
Stargate: Universe
Stargate: SG1

...and then probably Next Generation.


(Doctor Who not included only because it's British)

I voted for the original because it's what got me hooked.

I like next generation almost as much.

after that: 3rd would be voyager
4th would be enterprise
5th would be deep space nine (didn't like it all)

I voted TOS, but love them all. I don't talk about it here on the Dis, but I'm a MAJOR GIGANTIC SUPER ST FREAK! I have all the Original Series eps on cassette tapes from holding the recorder up to the tv from back in 1975 when I was 13 and in absolute love with Chekov. (Met all of the Fab 7 at a convention also in 1975 at the Sheraton (now gone) in Manhattan,) And then it was and is Spock, my beloved!

Ok, I'll stop, but when I saw this thread, my heart started to flutter. I'll keep it to my ST Message board!

One more thing, Picard is HOT!

Another one more, my dream job is working on DS9, doing anything!

And I want 7of9's body!

I didn't grow up watching Star Trek, so NG was the first exposure of ST I had.
And I've always really liked Patrick Stewart (which, if you haven't seen his version of MacBeth, do so...it's awesome.)

I voted for DS:9 - I thought the exploration of other cultures, religions and philosophies was very interesting.

I loved them all except Enterprise - lousy story lines, and I'm sorry, but having a Vulcan on the bridge, even if not technically in Starfleet, messed too much with Spock's back story. And yes, I saw TOS in its first run.

I was a Lost in Space fan.

I am old enough to have watched the first runs of Lost in Space and Star Trek, and you either were a Lost in Space Fan, or a Star Trek fan, not many people were fans of both shows. Lost in Space fans thought Star Trek was a joke, and Star Trek fans thought Lost in Space was a joke.

I too voted DS9 for all the same reasons. Personally I couldn't stand Voyager and I only watched three eiposdes of Enterprise. It was so awful. I knew the moment I heard the theme song that it was going to stink. They totally messed that one up. It had such potential.

TOS and TNG were fantastic and probably tie for a close second in my book. I grew up watching TOS reruns with my mom. I still remember watching the first episode of TNG with my mom. We were both so thrilled that Trek was back.

I actually loved both of them!

As far as the poll goes, I couldn't bring myself to vote. I was a major Star Trek fan and rolled my eyes when I found out that TNG was coming out. It didn't take long until I fell in love with TNG (and, yes, Picard was GREAT!) - although the first few episodes were a little rocky . After that, I couldn't wait for any version and enjoyed them all.

The Original came out when I was a kid. I have seen them so many times, over the years, that I can tell my family the plot when the show first starts (which they enjoy immensely).

I got DH hooked on the series as Next Generation came out the same year we got married. Before that, he had never even heard of Star Trek. The boys were then raised on NG and they probably have each of those shows memorized.

I thought DS9 was dark and different. I watched them and bonded with the characters but I also felt sorry for them most of the time.

Voyager started on analog and then went to cable the second season so I haven't seen that one.

I tried to watch Enterprise but the kids were always keeping us busy by that time so we had trouble keeping up with any tv. I remembered Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap.

I also tried to watch Andromeda, which wasn't ST but was Roddenberry. That was kinda' scrambled and hard to keep up with...I was surprised it stayed on-air as long as it did but, once they canceled it, it disappeared rather abruptly.

I didn't like the newest Star Trek movie but the boys did. I don't like change.

I am probably officially the biggest geek on the DIS now!

Next Generation. Followed by Voyager, DS9, and then Enterprise. God help me, I've tried so many times to get into the original series, but I just can't do it. I love the movies with the original cast, just not the tv series.

DS9 is the only Star Trek I got hooked on, though I love scifi shows (B5, new Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Farscape etc.) DS9 is like those in that it explored cultures and was serialized. The first 2 treks were too episodic for me, with not enough carryover from episode to episode. I tried to watch Voyager and Enterprise, but I just didn't care for them.

I chose TNG. I grew up with Captain Picard and crew. Like Diznygrl, I can't get into the original series even though I like the movies very much. Next would be Voyager - I would have loved to marry Chakotay

Next Generation: Picard is delicious and Q is probably one of my favorite characters of all time. Then the original. The others never did much for me. I wanted so badly to like Enterprise but I want to say they kept changing times on me or something, and pre-DVR days, I couldn't keep up.
