Star Trek fans - quick question

ButchJohnson said:
From what I heard Jeffrey Hunter had a huge ego and thought he was on the verge of being a big movie star, so he snubbed the Star Trek series. Guess it didn't really pan out, because other than a small part in the Longest Day, I don't recall another movie he was in. He was a good lookin cat though.
Actually you can see Jeffrey Hunter on line at the Great Movie Ride. He was in "The Searchers" with John Wayne and Natalie Woods.

By the way....the second pilot for Star Trek was "Where No Man Has Gone Before". I believe that Sally Kellerman was in it.

I totally agree, we both must be old school. :smokin:
Do you know why the little tube that Scotty used to get inside to "fix" whatever problems that happen to be arising at the time was called the "Jeffries Tube"?

prop man named Jeffries, of course.

back in the 70's I read "the Making of Star Trek". "the World of Star Trek" and david gerrold's book on how he worte the tribbles episode. lots of good background info on the original series...though I've forgotten alot of the details.
