I just read in another thread that there is a Star Tours ride for the disabled? Is this true? I have always rode this alone because my companion is in a scooter and even know she can transfer the jolting ride would be too much for her.

Is there a "non-moving" version?

Does it still require 3D glasses?

Do you have to transfer or can you stay in a scooter?

As far as I know, you have to transfer. (I just rode Star Tours last month when we were there; it's our daughter's favorite thing LOL) I was not given the option to do anything but transfer. The seat is always the far right seat on the front row.

3D glasses are required to get the full effect - if your companion chose not to use them, they would (at the most) potentially have a headache... There are 2D glasses (made by Hank Green) available here if your companion would benefit from them...

There is no "non-moving" version of Star Tours.

I know the old version did. However, since the refurbishment, I don't believe that's an option anymore

Star Tours requires a transfer to the attraction seat and since it is a 3D attraction, it requires 3D glasses to have the 3D features work and have the picture in view.

My daughter uses a wheelchair, so I know the line is wheelchair accessible to the point of boarding. It is listed as an attraction where guests using ECVs need to transfer to a wheelchair for the attraction and then transfer to the ride. I don't know if this applies to the entire queue or just part (I'm guessing the entire queue). The CM at the entrance will be able to tell you and to get a wheelchair for use in the line.

The "non-moving" of Star Tours is old information.
Before the last renovation of Star Tours, they did sometimes do 'non-motion' runs of a theater. It was basically running one show of the attraction in a theater with motion turned off. It still required a transfer to an attraction seat.
Because it took some work by a CM to change to non motion and because it took one theater out of commission for a show, even in the past, it was not always available. People who posted about it in the past often posted that they were told it was not being done at all that day or given a time to return.

I have not heard of the attraction doing any non motion runs since the renovation. There were many changes to the attraction at that time and I'm not even sure if it is possible to do any more.
