Star Tours?

Has anyone done a tour with them? If so, I'd love to know what your experience was like. We were thinking about booking a Hollywood tour with them, but then I saw some good self touring plans on some of the boards. Now I'm thinking that maybe we should save our money and just do our own tour. Or, are there better touring companies? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. This is our first visit to California and who knows if we will ever get a chance to visit again!

When we took DGD (8 at the time) to Hollywood before going to DLR, we used Starline Tours. Thought they were pretty good. We were in one of the open-air vans as pictured halfway down their web page. Everyone got a pair of ear buds so you could hear the tour guide. Personally, I think it's a better way to go than trying to follow a map, because you get a pretty good back-story on each star home.

They have a booth right in the Hollywood/Highland complex, right next to Grauman's Chinese. We booked right there, and got free tickets to Madame Tussaud's too. I see that you can get that from booking online too.

HTH,
Bob
