Though they SEEM very similar, Body Wars makes me want to immediately HURL. Star Tours has one part where I have to close my eyes (going through the asteroid) and I'm fine for the rest. I was shocked at the difference. It must be the visuals.

I can't even remember the last time I rode Body Wars since it's only been open in recent years during extreme peak times when I'm not there, and from what I hear it won't be opening ever again. As far as Star Tours I've never been a big fan, 1980's simulators get old pretty quick.Disney needs new attractions where these two are currently located. If they want to keep a Star Wars theme for a new ride that would be cool but it needs a change. So if I had to pick one I'll go with Body Wars since from what I remember I kinda used to like that ride.

Once again a category is missing. How about I like both equally? My first experience with the "simulator" style ride was Body Wars. I thought it was amazing. When I got to do Star Tours, I was equally impressed. Both of them were pretty tame compared to Universals Back to the Future ride and I liked that one as well.

I agree that it is yesterdays technology but it is old only to those of us that have seen it before. First time riders, I think, can still be impressed by them. I have been fortunate that I never have any motion sickness

I never have a single problem while riding Star Tours or Back to the Future, but the one time I rode Body Wars, I felt like I wanted to barf. And it wasn't because you're traveling inside a human body, but because the motion is a bit too intense.

So I pick Star Tours for that reason. That, and I'm a big Star Wars fan! :darth:

I equally enjoy them both, however I think we will not be doing Body Wars anymore any time soon, what with the state of that pavilion.

Star Tours, far and away. I got completely rattled the one time I rode Body Wars, and it seemed to go on forever.

That pulsing camera action in Body Wars is just sickening; plus being a medical person, the subject matter does not fascinate me. Once was enough!

But Star Tours rocks! I ride it every time I go!

Rode Body Wars twice. First time, I was only 14 and t didn't bother me. Second time, I was 20 and I was about 15 seconds from hurling. Star Tours doesn't do that to me.

Star Tours, I'm a big STar Wars fan and even though I've riden it a bunch of times I still love it, "I have a bad feeling about this". Line used in every Star Wars Movie, can't wait for Star Wars Weekend 2008.:hourglass

An attraction that is open is always preferable to one gathering dust.

Star Tours.

There was a rumor awhile ago that the pavilion was going to be changed to one all about weather and Body Wars was going to be converted into a ride where you were on one of those planes that go into a hurricane. But I guess that idea never went anywhere.

I've heard and have read in multiple places, that Body Wars and all shows/attractions in that pavillion will be closing if they have not done so already, very soon (haven't been to EPCOT since 12/2006 so I am not 100% sure what it looks like in that pavillion presently). I believe they have other plans for that space like, a space for conventions or something of that nature. This is just a RUMOR, but I actually have a feeling that this may end up being the case.

Any opinions?

I'm going to be 100% honest on this one,

They're both so horrible! They are wayyy outdated, and not even that enjoyable.. that they make the Back to the Future ride a terrifying thrill ride.

I'm sure there are people that these are there favorites, so what I mean is.. they're horrible to me.

What's a good one is the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at Islands of Adventure.. now that is a ride to remember!!

We're a family that LOVES Star Tours!!! Our kids (DS8 and DS4) are WAY bigger fans of the older Star Wars Movies than they are of the newer movies, so they think Star Tours rocks. My DS 8 has been on it probably 100 times in his young life. :woohoo:

Body Wars was closed when we were there and I hear it's always closed.:confused3

Being a huge Star Wars fan, its pretty obvious where I'm going with this. The theme of the Star Wars ride is unsurpassed as is the quantity of Class A junk found in it's shop. However, the simulator itself is extremely old and out dated. I mean c'mon, PeeWee Herman was supposed to do the voice overs for the ride. How old is that? BUT i can never get enough of that At At or the droids you'll find inside. Highly Recommended!

We love the droids as well, and especially LOVE CAPTAIN REX!!! I hope if they upgrade this ride in the future, they don't get rid of Captain Rex. Hopefully he'll continue to be the pilot and have a whole new hilarious script.
