Star Tours question

Actually its randomly chosen, but is you notice they always choose someone who doesnt have the 3d glasses on yet.. so if you want to be the rebel spy keep your glasses off..
our last trip two of my 5 kids got chances to be the rebel spy.. my six year old daughter was so thrilled it was adorable..

This actually isn't necessarily true as when I was chosen as the spy last week, I had definitely had my glasses on. I wouldn't be surprised if the CM has the ability to choose or just make it random.

I find it highly suspicious that I was chosen after having a really fun conversation with the CM handling our ship right before we boarded. ;)

On our October 2011 trip my stepson was chosen and he was sitting in the middle seat of the back row. Thinking they used that seat every time, the next time we rode we let my DS sit in that same seat in the back row and he wasn't chosen. So we know it isn't the same seat every time.

As far as getting sick on the ride, I get motion sick very easy and I just can't take that ride. I ride it but the moment it starts I close my eyes and keep them closed the whole time.

I saw half of the ride the first time I rode it, about 30 seconds of the second time I rode it and none of the last 3 times I rode it. And I take Antivert (Meclizine) to keep from getting sick but I still get queasy and dizzy.

My nephew got to be rebel spy last August, wearing 3D glasses. We were sitting in the 2nd row from the front, near the exit doors.

I love the updates, I rode it when it was new in 1990, didn't ride it again until 2007 and was disappointed that nothing had changed--but now it's great!

When I was the rebel spy I was in the back row, on the end closest to the entrance of the vehicle. So it's definitely not the same seat each time.

This question is off topic but that last time I rode Star Tours was in May 2008 before it was re-done. My question is it still very herky jerky? I nearly lost my lunch on it and have never rode it again. That being said I would like to give it another try as long as its not so rough!

It depends on which clips you get. Some of them really shake you, others not so much. And with the 3D element it adds to the feeling of movement on some scenes.
