I have been hearing about Star Tours "2.0" for a while now. Supposedly it will be like you are part of a Podrace, at least that is what I heard last. It is probably just a huge rumor. I think that it would be cool if the ride was like the battle of Hoth and you get to wrap up the legs of an AT-AT. That would be great.

I don't really like the podrace idea and they would have to change the starspeeders to giant podracers which would be a stretch. I would entertain the idea of going through the second death star at the battle of endor. This isn't the first time we've gotten a report of a second star tours. I won't believe it till Disney officialy announces it.

You read it correctly. Having said that, remember this article is not about Disney or from Disney so who knows. It could easily mean both Star Tours. Plus, its unlikely the would change the DL and not the WDW version at some point

Well, as long as they do something at WDW. I remember all those years ago when Star Tours was new, it was an exciting ride. Now, the only time we will go on it is if we are with out of town friends who have only been on it maybe once or twice over the years. Now, for us, it's just an annoying shake rattle and roll of your body. {yea, I know, I'm just spoiled} And you can see seams in the film and all these small blotches in the corners. C'mon Iger, give us something new here..........

I actually still enjoy Star Tours. What I would really like is a second star wars attraction plus a Mos Eisley Cantina eatery/bar.

I think if the likes of Ei$ner and Iger would have let the Imagineers do what they do best, and stop putting restraints on them as they have for many years now, some of these "re-dos" would have turned out a lot better than they did.

I think its going to happen this time...they have a serious competitor now with Harry Potter moving down the road...and small additions like American Idol and a Space Mountain refurb won't do. I'm sure Disney has big plans for something in the next 2-3 years and I can't wait to see them.

I sure hope they don't redo StarTours at WDW. I must have blown up the Death Star a million times, and could do it a million more. It would totally break my heart to see it redone into something totally lame like they did with Figments ride.

It only opened in the latter part of 1989 . . . . so I kind of doubt it . . . .
