A sneak peek of next week's circular is available at the Staples website. It has some penny and quarter deals for back-to-school. :teacher:

Penny deals include 12 cap erasers, 8 Bic pens, and 4 oz. glue... limit 2 with $5 purchase. Not sure what teacher limits are this year.

Quarter deals include 2 pocket poly folders, 1/2" tape flags, 5 mechanical pencils, pencil case, and a ream of paper (with easy rebate)... limit 2.

I saw that when I looked at their ad this morning! I was going to post about it but last time I posted about a sale on school supplies I was bombarded with people complaining about their kids still being in school!!

Walamrt started getting their stuff out today. I went ahead and bought several things that I knew were good prices instead of looking at all the ads on Sunday.

I only need a couple more items and will be done!

I saw a few things in the Staples ad that I want. I have a quick question, if I buy the paper for $5.99 (before easy rebate) will that count as a $5 purchase for the penny items?

I was at Walmart today and their prices seem a little lower this year, like some things that were $1 last year were .97 this year. The only great deal I felt like I found was composition books for .40. I had a hard time finding a deal on those last year and ended up needing a bunch of them so I went ahead and picked up 5 of those. I'll still need more, but it's a start.

Ooooh, I am heading to Staples next week. I am a teacher and won a gift card thru a teacher program! Thanks for the heads up!

Not sure if the ream of paper counts toward the $5 minimum... I think it did last year.

The penny items specifically said with $5 purchase... the quarter items did not.

The reams of paper with easy rebate counted towards the minimum purchase for penny items last year, so I would guess they will this year too. :goodvibes
