The math teacher in me insists on saying: The break-even point is $66.67. The $10 you pay only becomes a "deal" past that point.

Now I could easily spend way more than that with my kids, particularly at Staples. We tend to buy most of our school supplies at Target, because we find them cheaper. But if you're looking at backpacks and stuff, (no graphing calculators-- that's 'technology'-- it might be a good deal.

I agree I would ask them to clarify "technology" before I bought that card. I have 4children in school and it all adds up quickly but still not sure how much I buy at staples since I usually stick to their $1deals around back to school time.

This might work if several families went in on this and did their purchases together. However, as soon as I read this, I thought, I have to pay to join a savings club at Staples. Sort of like a cover charge to take advantage of savings. I would check out the rules and exclusions first.

FYI... I just saw the ad for this Sunday on-line, looks like on the page with this savings card there is a picture of a graphing calculator.
