Calling all Mighty Ducks, Devils and DIS Hockey Fans!
I will be hosting a Stanley Cup Game 7 Chat tonight starting at 8pm (ET) until the game ends. Can everyone say "Overtime"? The chat will be in ROOM 2 and NOT in the Main Lobby. After the Mighty Ducks logo there are general instructions on how enter the DIS Chat Rooms including free downloads.
Here's instructions from nativetxn, our DIS Chat guru, on how to navigate to Room 2:
If someone uses ichat then they log into chat which puts them in the main lobby. There is a little upside down black triangle over the upper left corner of the dialog window.
Click the triangle, choose navigate and choose room2.
If they use java, there will be 3 tabs over the list of chatters names. Click on "places" and choose the room they want to enter.
Java lite is totally weird. The best I can tell you about using that or html is that someone using those chat programs is going to have to "go to" someone already in the room you want to use. To do that they will type: /go to scottwdw
It's really much better to use either ichat or java instead of html or java lite. The html and java lite programs "refresh" the chat window every minute or so. When that happens you lose part of the dialog and it is just confusing.
I also recommend the iChat plugin for IE or Netscape. It works great. Hope you can stop by sometime during the game!

General DIS Chat Room Information:
CLICK HERE to enter the chat room.
On your first visit to the chat room you will have to create a user name, password, choose an icon (if you want one) and choose which chat program you want to use. I believe that Ichat is the easiest and most fun program to use for DIS chat. You can download it free if you CLICK HERE. The Ichat works best if you are using the newest version of Internet Explorer browser. You will find the download site for Internet Explorer, if you CLICK HERE. Both of these programs are free downloads.
If you use AOL...please minimize the page after you have logged onto AOL and access chat by opening Internet Explorer or Netscape. If you prefer to use AOL to enter the chat room you must use the HTML chat program to do so, or chat won't work for you.
If you use a MAC...you will need to use the HTML chat
program.
PLEASE NOTE:You may experience problems logging in if the option on the menu is set to DEFAULT. Before you click "log me in" make sure that a chat program has been chosen. If you have downloaded the IChat Plugin, be sure to select that option (ichat works best with our chat room) or choose java, html or java lite.
