I have waited for today, and planned for ages, as by my reckoning today is my first 180+10 day mark for making ADRs beginning August 9th. When I called member services 10 minutes ago I was told that I would have to call back in March(!) I said I thought today was the first day I was able to make my 180+10 day reservations for August and the cast member (forgot to take her name) said "let's have a look then". I was able make reservations at all the restauarnts of my choice within 5 or 10 minutes of my preferred time, right up until August 19th. Anyone know why I should originally be told to call back in March? The CM was very good, but her original response threw me.
If anyone is interested, we are eating at Whispering Canyon (twice), Citricos*, Boma (breakfast - only ever doen dinner there), Kona Cafe, Concourse Streakhouse*, Crystal Palace, Trail's End, Artist Point, Cape May Cafe and Spoodles. Calling back next week for Flying Fish* and Le Celier. What do you think of our choices? Especially the 3 marked* as we have never eaten there before.
We are staying 8 nights in a 1bed at VWL then 1 night off property and ending with 5 nights 1bed at BCV.

sounds like a case of simple human error to me.

I just got around today to figuring out our schedule for our April 21-26 trip. I thought for sure ADRs would be difficult to get, but they really weren't.

We're eating at our favorites- Jiko's, Bown Derby, Artist Point, Coral Reef, Yachtsmen Steakhouse, Liberty Tree Tavern, and California Grill. All of them also within a few minutes of times I requested. The only place I had any trouble booking was Le Cellier. The time available was too late for us so we booked Yachtsmen Steakhouse instead. I may still switch that to another Epcot restaurant, not sure yet.

I have no idea what you meant with 180 days +10, either.

180 plus 10 refers to the fact that guests staying at a WDW resort (including DVC) can make dining reservations at the 180 day mark of your first night for up to 10 days.

I agree it is not that important to do other than I suppose for CRT, VA, etc.. but it is a nice perk.

Of your new choices, Citricos is excellent. My husband and daughter tried dinner at Concourse for the first time and were underwhelmed. They had the same problem that many report of meat being served at a completely different temp than ordered.:confused3

Your choices sound great to me. I just made our ADRs for our May trip. The only one I couldn't get was Le Cellier. I'll try to get that for our October trip I guess.

Oh, forgot LeCellier as a good one to call for on the early side although I don't know that it is necessary 180-190 days out. But hrsmom, I think I read it is closed for a time in May....maybe that was the problem.:confused3

Hmmmmm... does this work for character meals, too? Can we reserve breakfast with Cinderella sooner than 180 days before?

I was able to get Le Celliar for a 7:20 for May. I booked a week ago. I was shocked it was available. The last time we ate there we had to take a 4:45. That is early for us with the CS we have to work in.

It is for almost all WDW restaurants including character meals. I have read that V&A Chef's Table is excluded but we've only done that once and it was before the 180 + 10 started.

But according to an old thread I found, CRT is included. Tried to copy and paste but it kept reverting to Dreams Unlimited.:confused3

kimberh, glad you got Le Cellier. I could not find anything more about a short closure in May....maybe it was last year?:rotfl2:

LeCellier was having a short closure? I just checked my ADR's confirmation's and I have one for May 23rd at 7:20. Sure hope there is not a mix up.:confused3 If you find anything on it, please let me know.
