What is the difference between the standard view and the garden wing view at the Contemporary? Thanks for clarifying this for me!

It's been a while since our "Contemporary Days", but we always stayed in the wings. A garden view is just that....you may be looking out over the hotel grounds (an expanse of lawn, basically) or you may be looking out over some really neat topiaries and lovely flowers. It is the view we usually had and we enjoyed it...however, there are no balconies in the wings. If you're on the first floor, you can walk out onto a patio.

A standard view is basically a parking lot/monorail view or, in the case of one of my honeymooning friends, looking out at a brick wall. They are more of a dicey choice, in my opinion.

The only time I was there I was in the tower and had family staying in the wings, they booked a standard view and the view from their room was of a garden, I thought all the wing rooms had garden views.

If you are in the NGW, a "Garden View, ground floor, close to the Food Court" gets a room nice and close to the little kids playground. Great for families with kids (2-6 yo) Mom and Dad can sit on the patio and watch the kids play.
